Where is the hit and run? I have close family members in Iraq too, but you don’t see me out there slandering the beliefs of Utah Catholics, Baptists, or Lutherans!

Time to grow up and take some responsibility for you actions!!

I wonder if you said the same remark to your prophet when this statement was issued by your Church just over a week ago.

“I know that heaven-sent revelations have replaced the gross errors of manmade doctrines concerning the Godhead.” Is this not a criticism directed at millions of Christians?

Yes you do seven, and so does your church.

LDS.org states, “When Latter-day Saint missionaries visit homes or engage others in conversation, they studiously avoid criticism of other faiths. They do not attack and they do not condemn”?

Are you really unaware that your present missionary manual clearly states on page 36, “Investigators must be told that a universal apostasy occurred following the death of Jesus and His Apostles. If there had been no apostasy, there would have been no need of a Restoration. As a diamond on black velvet appears more brilliant, so the restoration stands in striking contrast to the dark background of the Great Apostasy. As guided by the Spirit, teach investigators about the Great Apostasy at a level of detail appropriate to their needs and circumstance” (Preach My Gospel, p.36). Do you really not see the hypocrisy in this statement?

No, you vilify them when you bring pain to their wives and children who have to go to the door to pick up your DVD and play it thinking it’s something from the Church they believe in. How many did you give out and mail as a “service” to save their erring souls?

You may not vilify them directly, but you bring no good will to the already lonely and suffering families when you do this. Why can you not see it? Why has you heart become so hardened toward the faith of your youth that you just can’t leave it, and us alone!

Oh yes, the DVD. It is sooooo painful.

Tell me seven, what exactly was ‘painful’ about the DVD.

Was it the fact that Joseph Smith ‘translated’ the BOM with his face in a hat. Perhaps it was the many women he wedded and bedded. Was it his legal troubles over fraud and deception in regards to “money digging.”

Maybe it was the lack of archeologic evidence for the BOM. Or DNA testing that has proven beyond a resonable doubt that the American Indian did not descend from Hebrews.

Oh yes, this is vile, vile HATE speech. Darn it, somebody arrest me NOW!

>> Delphi,

>>Grow up.

Did that, when will you? (sounds juvenile huh?)

>>I disagree with you. Doesn’t mean I hate.

Sorry, I have seen to many of your posts and I know how when and why you left the church. Not everyone in the church is like your first husband and you are following a common pattern, you can’t get back at him, so…

>>Combating the falsehoods of Mormonism is my hobby...

You pick up a hobby that makes you feel better about that episode in your life.

You cannot be Christian and carry grudges.
Matt 6:14-15 (http://scriptures.lds.org/en/matt/6/14-15#14)
14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

>>Get a clue, I don’t live by your rules anymore.

Actually, I have a whole box full of clues.

>>I am a full time missionary. I serve my Church.

So part of your mission is to go on FR?

>>I do this by relating my experiences - - just like you did/do.

Actually as a missionary, I testify of Jesus’ Divinity and teach people about God. I am no longer full time, but hey, I’m raising a family.

>>The constitution does not give YOU the right and then turn around and DENY me the same right.

Show me where I said it did?

>>We get to speak our ideas. I don’t particularly like your or Joseph Smith’s ideas.

Great, and I don’t like that way you lie (yes I said lie, remember the thread where you were claiming to be an active member? I do.)

>>BTW I have a son and daughter in the Army. Full time army. I have two grandchildren
>>that I may have to raise. You see, both of their parents have spent time in the current
>>military zone, and are expected to return within the year.

GREAT! I commend them for their love of country and thank them for their service.

>>What exactly have YOU contributed.

Well let me see, I’m too old (part of that Grow up thing) and since I was paralyzed as a kid and still have back problems to this day from it no armed forces would take me. My oldest is now 12. So none of my children is in harms way however my brother and sister in law are in the army as translators, they speak Arabic, and some other dialects which I probably could not pronounce much less spell. They have volunteered several times to go to Iraq, but the Army won’t send them because they are needed to teach others to speak the lingo.

So, you may say I have no skin in the Game, but actually, I just might wind up raising my niece one of these days it they do go. So I think I have as much in the “Game” as I can.

So, what other hobbies could you take up? Photography, knitting? Attacking any religions’ faith is just not a good hobby to have; it’s bad for your blood pressure and actually does not serve the purpose you think it does. You want to be a missionary? GREAT testify of Jesus and you’ll get no grief from me, I may on occasion pull up a chair and either listen or sing a part in harmony with your song.

Actually there are stores that carry books concerned with cults. Perhaps you’ve visited one. They are called Christian Book Stores.

In fact I regularly meet with other recovering Mormons who are trying to combat the cultic mentality we were raised in, or fooled into joining.

It takes much of my time, and I find it enjoyable and rewarding. Some people devote their entire lives to this end. They are called Christian missionaries. Perhaps you’ve heard of something similar?

Hit and run, REALLY! The teaching of the apostasy is done to members already investigating the church. And it’s done in the spirit of love, because without that, the spirit of the Lord can not be there.

I don’t picket Cathedrals or meetings handing out anti Catholic literature. You may be surprised to know that I just did an hour documentary on the new Installation Mass for Bishop John C. Wester, the new Bishop installed by Rome to serve all of Utah. While I don’t agree with their theology, I certainly don’t try to demean or even “save their souls” through such blatant aggressiveness.

There are good people of all faiths.

By own brother is Catholic FYI.

Sevenbak said “Careful color, Utah has one of the highest contingents of troops over there compared with any other state. Many Mormons have shed their blood so you can have that right to demean their faith.

I’m sure you are a proud military mom, but you do a big disservice to people of faith serving this great country!”

Nowhere did he attack you that I can see just stated the obvious that attacking the faith of many serving in harms way to defend the constitution you were just invoking might not go over well.

In response to this you call him a liar and complain that he is attacking a “military mom”. So because you are a military mom, no one can attack you on any other basis?

CC and Cindy Sheehan peas in a pod of logic.

*I will not play the game of “refute every line and lie.”

Prove that I ever, ever once said on FreeRepublic or ANYWHERE that I was currently an active member. I said my records are in good standing...You said there was no such thing! Bah

You must lie and attack the credibility of anyone who disagrees with your faith. I know nothing about your personal life except that you are young, took a great deal of time to decide to get married and are not so happy about your decision, or your wife.

Too bad you are sealed for eternity....perhaps you can get that little matter resolved. Marie Osmond did.

Don’t change the subject, especially when I’ve already answered you ad naseum about it. The fact is that you cause pain. You forget I work in the news business, and while this was still a story, I’ve seen first hand people cry who had tender hearts and feelings, who were not expecting it to be what it was.

Not everyone is as callous as you or I.

Funny you should say that because I knew there was something not right I just didn't know at the time there was a name for it!

"APOSTASY!"

Than I found the Lord Church I was looking for and it answered all of my questions I had search for years to know!

For that I am thankful!

I view someone distorting my words in order to show me as doing a disservice to people of faith serving the great country as an attack.

Let me see how you would react if I said something like....by believing in Mormonism you do a great disservice to all our military Catholics. Do you not see the hypocrisy behind your....

You know what? You don’t see it. You won’t see it.

I will just state publicly that I am thankful to every single serviceman or servicewoman for doing their duty with honor for our great nation, regardless of color, gender, creed or race.

You all can continue throwing mud at me. It really doesn’t matter.
