Romney’s hunted twice and calls himself a hunter? In that case, I’m twice the hunter Romney is - and I don’t consider myself a hunter.

Who does Mitt think he’s fooling? Most pro-gunners know that the right to gun ownership, at its core, has nothing to do with hunting.

Don’t own a gun. Don’t want one. But, to me, the 2nd Amendment is locked in stone and is never to be violated.

The problem that keeps tripping Romney up is his credibility gap. After the Kerry “Can Ah git me a huntin’ license here” fiasco, you would think that any politician who does not have a hunting background would stay away from the issue. Running as a conservative after compiling a basically liberal public record is difficult to begin with, but this gaffe, like others Romney has made (reaction to Ann Coulter’s “fag” remarks, for example), make him seem like another sleazy politician and a faux conservative. I do not like Giuliani, but at least he does not pretend to be something he is not, i.e., a conservative. Romney may have the money to play in the big leagues, but he lacks the skills.
