READINGTON, N.J. An FBI agent was killed in a shootout with three bank robbery suspects Thursday in north central New Jersey, a law enforcement official said.
The official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the agent's family had not been told of his death, said the agent was alive when brought to University Hospital in Newark by helicopter, but efforts to save him failed.
"He didn't make it," the official said.
Other law enforcement officials, also speaking anonymously because the investigation was ongoing, said agents were investigating a string of recent bank robberies in central New Jersey when they came upon the suspects leaving a bank near Route 22 in Readington. A shootout ensued.
One suspect was captured and two fled to nearby woods, the official said. State and local authorities are searching for the suspects with helicopters and dogs.

Hmmm.. Well, I see MainSlimeMedia is already making it into a story about the agent being shot by a fellow agent... *sigh* ... minimizing the perps.
These guys could be anchor babies, if not illegals, then...
They’re not from this area. We have illegals doing landscaping and painting ... GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR but they don’t live here. These guys seem to be coming from the Edison area.
“Police are searching for Francisco J. Herrara-Genao, a New Brunswick man who fled the scene of a shooting across the street from the PNC Bank in Readington. An FBI agent who had been trailing a team of alleged bank robbers was shot and killed at the scene, though investigators suspect he may have been killed by friendly fire.”
I haven’t been in New Brunswick in years. None of the areas these creeps are fun are areas you’d want to live in. All you can do is live in areas they can’t afford to keep away from them.

I never did find out if these four murderers were illegal aliens. These four guys killed five people during a bank robbery in Norfolk, Nebraska on September 26, 2002. If they weren’t illegal aliens, they were probably of the anchor baby variety.

Thank you for remembering that. A most horrific crime that shook Nebraska, the home of my ancestors, and many cousins living there...
Their status must have come out during the trial..?
I don’t know if Jorge Galindo was here illegally, but he is a Mexican national (assuming this is the same guy who’s listed here).

According to the numbers on that page, over 44% of the foreign nationals on death row are from Mexico. By comparison, 0.83% are from our other neighbor.

Got em 8:15Am on Saturday morning - got em!
Curious indeed. :)
from your link:
A Somerset County 911 dispatcher said authorities were tipped off Friday morning by a resident who saw someone matching the man’s description.
Beverly Hardon was leaving her driveway for work when a man began banging on her car, she told WNBC-TV New York, her voice quivering as she spoke.
“He started hitting on my window, trying to get in my car,” Hardon said. “I went so fast up that driveway.”
Police used search dogs to flush him out of the nearby woods, and he surrendered quietly. “He was pretty cold, and I’m sure that had something to do with it,” Lewis said.
The FBI agent, Barry Lee Bush, 52, had been assigned to the Newark office and had been searching for suspects believed to be responsible for at least four bank robberies, the FBI said. In two of robberies, the suspects had fired assault weapons while inside the bank, the agency said.
