I would add government civil service workers - federal, state, county, and local - to the 'Rat base as well (except perhaps police and firemen). They tend to be unionized and benefit from the overbloated bureaucracy that Dems in general favor.

Otherwise, not bad for capsule analysis of current political demographics.

The backlash is coming on those government workers. It will not and cannot escape notice that the unionized public sector employees’ compensation is skyrocketing recently. In many states, the average public sector employee’s comp package is now in excess of the average private sector employee’s package.

And to top it off, many unionized private sector union members are seeing their wages/bennies get cut while the public sector toadies see their wages/bennies going up.

This is not escaping notice. It will cause a rift in the next five years or so. How it will shake out is anyone’s guess just now.
