That is a great movie.
My husband is surprised that I like that movie so much since it has so much violence in it. (I FF the most gruesome parts, now).
But, I thought this was one of Denzel’s best roles. Much better than Training Day.
Just knowing the agony Creasy suffered by the choices he had made. Then to turn and use everything he knew, again, because he loved that little girl and thought she had been killed. Man on Fire was truly an apt title!
Here’s a few more quotes I liked:
Rayburn: A man can be an artist... in anything, food, whatever. It depends on how good he is at it. Creasey’s art is death. He’s about to paint his masterpiece.
Lisa: What are you gonna do?
Creasy: What I do best. I’m gonna kill ‘em. Anyone that was involved. Anybody who profited from it. Anybody who opens their eyes at me.
Lisa: [Whispering] You kill ‘em all.
Yes, a great picture...I have to rent the first one sometime to see if it’s any good.
And I had the wrong bad guy — it was Fuentes who ran out of time...
I liked these, too:
Sister Anna: Do you ever see the Hand of God in what you do?
Creasy: No, not for a long time.
Creasy: There is no such thing as tough. There is trained and untrained. Now which are you?
Rayburn: A bullet always tells the truth.
