I love them I should talk my hubby into planting one.
The only thing he didn’t like was the beans in the fall.
I guess that all trees have some bad features, but some of the other best things about the honeylocust: they grow very fast; they can be beautiful multi-trunk trees; the leaves are small and delicate. The bad things are they are so susceptible to bores, and the limbs have thorns. (which is the main reason we planted them though - kept the horses from "grazing" on them!)
Our messiest trees by far are live oak, chinaberry, cottonwood, and cherry laurel.
