Steve Forbes is a Log Cabin Republican. That is my point.

Forgive me for not believing you @ face value. Perhaps you'd like to cite a link supporting your contention that he's a Log Cabin Republican?

Smearing the son as gay, (alleged only of his father AFAIK) is nothing but deceit and false witness--typical of your posting history.

"I like Forbes. I can't understand why he's backing Rooty though."

I'm amazed at the people falling in line behind him...Here in Louisiana, our conservative Senator, Vitter, and my typically strong conservative Representative Boustany, have already come out for JulieAnnie. As with both of them, I'm surprised that Forbes is not only backing Rudy, but is doing so this early.

I'd say Rudy is on schedule, because the guy leading in the polls one year out from primaries has won the nomination consistently for the GOP. Thompson's entrance into the race may shake things up, though.

Steve Forbes has a wife, Sabina, and five daughters: Roberta, Sabina, Catherine, Moira and Elizabeth.

Where do they come off saying he is gay?

Forbes is gay? I didn't know that.

Being gay is a smear? That is awfully bigotted of you.

REcopying from post 77:

Mike Signorile covered Forbes at Log Cabin conventions at his site, signorile.com.

Forbes as a finance guy man

Is that some kind of "metrosexual" thing?

The only way the "All or Nothings" or Rudy haters will snap from their vile against the man is when "she" is taking the oath in 2009 and receiving congraturoy messages from Bin Laden, Chavez, the nut jobs that run the show in Iran and North Korea.

Even if you don't like him, I don't think it's right to call Rudy "she".

And you guys called him a Log Cabin Republican - and what are they? Gay Republicans. Nothing wrong with them but Steve Forbes is not one of them. So they may have endorsed him BIG DEAL and he spoke at their convention Another WHO CARES? They are people too and voters. Don't try to twist things.

Forbes is a Log Cabin Republican. Not all gay people are Log Cabin Republicans. Log Cabins belong to the HRC. They support NAMBLA. BIG PROBLEM.

Can you offer a link or proof? Just curious. That specifically says that Steve Forbes is a Log Cabin Republican.

Funny thing is, I didn't think your post was sarcasm at first, so inured am I to the ridiculous hatred coming from the anti-Rudy crowd.

Your disingenuous BS fools no one. Such a pleasure to expose the mendacious posters on this forum. BTW still awaiting a link to show that Forbes is "a log Cabin."

I know you don't have one, though.

Log Cabin republicans AND Victory Fund democrats BOTH belong to the Human Rights Campaign [HRC].

See:

http://www.hrc.org/Template.cfm?Section=Federal_Club11&Template=/ContentManagement/ContentDisplay.cfm&ContentID=21742

Excerpt:

At a separate event during the Convention,
HRC, Log Cabin Republicans and the Gay &
Lesbian Victory Fund honored Republicans
who have stood up against discrimination
in the U.S. Constitution and who work for
equality for GLBT families and individuals.
The message is that not all Republicans
are hostage to President Bush’s divisive
strategy and not all Republicans support
him. Later during Convention week, the
Log Cabin Republicans came to the same
conclusion as HRC that George W. Bush
cannot be our next President.

The new head of HRC [Joe Solmonese] sits on the board of an organization whose top contributor is George Soros.

>>>Human Rights Campaign<<<

"The heroes are the folks that we probably won't see in Time or Newsweek", said Donna Red Wing of the Human Rights Campaign.... Maybe folks like Williamson Henderson, who was inside The Stonewall and arrested after the first night of the rebellion (sic).... He'll never forget the night he helped give birth to the Gay Rights movement. Stonewall helped unite Gays and lesbians, eventually growing into a powerful force, felt in all reaches of the national spectrum. "Stonewall was the first time I saw in a public way my GLBT community fighting back", said Donna. And, from the S.V.A.'s Jeremiah Newton: "Yes, we were part of the Stonewall Rebellion. Yes, we survived. Yes, we're still here.... It starts with one person standing up for their rights and the rights of their loved ones. That's Stonewall! It's an amazing, amazing story...." reflected Jeremiah. Do they consider themselves 'heroes'? "Well, I never regarded myself as one", Williamson said. "None of us regarded ouselves as 'heroes'. We were all victims of happenstance", he said. "But, after all these years, I think, yes, in fact, we are 'heroes'".

Obituary of Harry Hay's

Henry “Harry” Hay, the founder of the modern American gay movement, died on October 24, 2002 at age 90.

(snip)

Hay devoted his entire life to progressive politics, and in 1950 founded a state-registered foundation network of support groups for gays known as the Mattachine Society.

(snip)

Hay was also a co-founder, in 1979, of the Radical Faeries, a movement affirming gayness as a form of spiritual calling. A rare link between gay and progressive politics

(snip)

“Harry was one of the first to realize that the dream of equality for our community could be attained through visibility and activism,” said David M. Smith of the Human Rights Campaign in Washington, DC. “When you were in a room with him, you had the sense you were in the company of a historic figure.”

(snip)

“Mattachine” took its name from a group of medieval dancers who appeared publicly only in mask, a device well understood by homosexuals of the 1950s. Hay devised its secret cell structure (based on the Masonic order) to protect individual gays and the nascent gay network. Officially co-gender, the group was largely male -- the Daughters of Bilitis, the pioneering lesbian organization, formed independently in San Francisco in 1956.

(snip)

Though some criticized the Mattachine movement as insular, it grew to include thousands of members in dozens of chapters, which formed from Berkeley to Buffalo, and created a lasting national framework for gay organizing. Mattachine set the stage for rapid civil rights gains following 1969’s Stonewall riots in New York City.

NAMBLA emerged from the tumultuous political atmosphere of the 1970s, particularly from the leftist wing of the Gay Liberation movement which followed the 1969 Stonewall Riots in New York City. Although discussion of gay adult-minor sex did take place, gay rights groups immediately following the Stonewall Riot were more concerned with issues of police harassment, nondiscrimination in employment, health care and other areas.

Seems like everyone who despises George W. Bush, hates Social Conservatives, and believes Bush to be the worst President ever is on board the Rudy train.

There are also Giuliani supporters who love George W. Bush, are themselves social conservatives (though not as hardline and single-issue oriented as some), and believe Bush to be one of the best presidents we've ever had. I know you'll find that hard to believe, but it's true.

It won't matter. He's toast.

And so is ANY social conservative you religious nut jobs try to prop up.

I really don't care if Rudy gets the nod or not .. I will not vote for another big spending socialist after the social conservatives gave us comrade Bush... granted he's tough on the WOT .. but spending us into oblivion will not get the independent or libertarian vote to go for another candidate that talks about abortion and gay marriage more than fiscal responsibility .. either fiscal conservative first and foremost .. or no independent/libertarian vote for you... you already saw what happened in '06... the social conservatives got the boot.
