"We shouldn't profile one race of people, because in truth most of the world hates us".

I thought that was the most poignant line of the night. It's human nature I suppose to hate the perrenial winners. That's why people hate the Dallas Cowboys, New York Yankees, Notre Dame...we root for the underdog because almost all of us can relate to being the small dog in a big fight. Nobody rooted for US Steel.

This South Park blows away every 24 episode from this whole season!

I don't want to take the attention away from Parker and Stone's piece here, but does anyone else think that 24 has become a little bit too over the top to the point of losing any semblance to reality?

His brother and father being mixed up in the plot? The illegitamate son? The bad casting? I mean I love the fact that a Black man is President, it's great, but geez he should at least look like James Earl Jones. Not a 30 year old guy with a goatee.

I'm with you on Douche and Turd. I had to make that choice in the DPRNJ Senate race between Tom Kean (Giant Douche)and Bob Menendez (Turd Sandwich). I ended up voting for Ms. Garrison. You and everyone else are going to have to explain the manbearpig algore one to me. I understand that algore was looking for attention at all costs but I must be missing something there.

"Death Camp of Tolerance", "Butt Out" with a fat Rob Reiner preaching health, "Jared has AIDS", "Passion of the Jew" with Mel Gibson, "Trapped in the Closet" which was so good Tom Cruise made Viacom ban it, or the "Best Friend Forever" Teri Schiavo one where Kenny's lost Living Will says 'if I'm ever in a vegetative state, please kill me and whatever you do, DO NOT show me on national TV in that situation.'

There has never been a bad South Park episode.

I take it from this and other episodes that Parker and Stone are big fans of the Budd Dwyer suicide video.

Manbearpig was a good spoof of Gore's single-minded and relentless, but less-than-accurate, crusade on the environment. And just a good poke at Gore himself.

You're right - there has never been a bad SP episode, but several mediocre ones. The ones you mentioned were all excellent, especially Passion of the Jew. I saw that one w/ my dad (63-yr/old Russian-Jewish immigrant), and he laughed throughout.

For pure, non-political, gross-out silliness, however, you cannot beat "Mr. Garrison's Fancy New Vagina." After I saw that, I went to bed laughing and woke up laughing the next morning! Also "Woodland Critter Christmas" - check out the old FR thread on that one.

Yeah, except I cringed and turned my head away when they spliced real footage of a sex change operation showing the testes being cut off in "Mr. Garrison's Fancy New Vagina".

"Passion of the Jew" was not only hysterical, it was prophetic given what happened to Mel Gibson spewing drunken anti semetic comments a few years later.

Kyle squirming in the movie theatre watching the Passion movie. Cartman leading a Nazi march. Cartman praying to Mel Gibson. An insane Gibson in his Hollywood mansion. Just a hysterical masterpiece.

And the point was so brilliant that I think Jesus was looking down and laughing:

People should pay attention to the words Jesus spoke and his message. Not using how he died to stir up hatred.

One of the sneakiest lines came toward the beginning:

"What would a bunch of communists be doing at a Hillary Clinton rally?"

I haven't seen it mentioned yet, but this episode heralded the return of Barbrady, who I haven't seen in many, many eps.

There's no middle ground on "Woodland Critter Christmas". I watch it with 3 of my friends, all SP fans. 2 of us laughed hysterically to the point of pain every minute of it (this is where I feel). The other two sat there slack jawed and horrified. You either love it or you find it deeply and disturbingly creepy.

You noticed that too. I'm sure it went over 95% of the population's head. They didn't hear the "I want to take those profits" speech about the capitalist oil companies making money.

I remember that night well. I had to Tivo that episode for obvious reasons and watched it like at two in the morning.

Have you been in Target lately? They have all these Easter decorations up that look EXACTLY like the Woodland Critters. It sort of creeped me out.

I'm confused - my eyes are telling me that you are lumping the Dallas Cowboys in with "perennial winners". It's rather confusing, because from what I can tell, Jerry Jones is still the owner, and as long as he continues to be the owner, they will not be winning anything major for a long time to come.
