Sweden has never been completely crushed like Germany, France, Poland, Italy, The Roman Empire etc and Sweden has never been occupied or even properly invaded by another country Not to hijack this thread, but is this how the history of Sweden's shameful collusion with Nazi Germany now being rewritten? Has Sweden's deplorable collaboration while her neighbors bravely fought against Nazi and Soviet aggression now seen as some kind perverted victory? The French at least declared war and fought in defense of Poland and their own country before capitulating. No offense, but the only thing Sweden accomplished militarily in the last century was to spread her legs for any potential invader and arrange for the rape of her neighbors. To claim some sort of pride in Sweden's cowardly collaboration is simply perverse. If this is how Sweden is publishing her history books, it will be no great loss when they are soon rewritten in Arabic.

- Swedes weren't the only ones who did shameful business with the Nazi's. A lot of influential people and companies did in France, Britain and the US too. Bank of England even made guarantees to any bank or government who would lend Nazi Germany money!! This was of major importance.
Sweden was neutral, not in the sense of being passive, sooner we were double dealing to avoid Nazi AS well as Allied aggression and out of economical interest of course.
Among other things, Sweden collaborated with the Allies through sharing information we had gained through deciphering military code and we warned you of Operation Barbarossa (although the Soviets wouldn't listen).

- Norway and Finland fought bravely, Denmark did not resist to begin with but put up decent resistance towards the end of the Nazi occupation. I never said we won any victory in WWII. But, I agree we could have done more, especially at the end when it stood clear that the Nazi's were going to lose. One reason we didn't liberate Norway and Denmark when we probably could have done so without great losses, was the fear of a new Soviet invasion of Finland.

- During the Cold War we collaborated intimately with NATO. We were on your side all of the time although we, explicitly, were neutral - and I'm not talking about a 'silent support' of your cause. To begin with, we shared a lot of our knowledge about the Soviet's with the NATO.
Furthermore, the last 50 years Sweden has sent about 80 000 soldiers on peace keeping missions to other countries. The US population is 33.33 times ours. 88 000 x 33.33 = 2 666 400. Has the US sent that many soldiers to war scenes around the world the last five decades?

- You're giving up on Western Civilization that easy? Doesn't sound like an heroic attitude to me..
In that case, maybe we'll have to count on the Russians again. After all, they defeated Hitler - contrary to what people learn through US American, British and French history books (80% of the German military forces were directed towards Soviet. A nation like Wales could've cleaned up France after the backbone of the Nazis already was broken by Stalin!).
