Thanks! I'm sure he's very saddened and will be more than happy to help.

"You are right in Prayers for Tony. I currently am battling a recurring spot on my liver that came back after 4 years. Liver Cancer is very treatable; at least in my case. I’ve been fighting for over 4 years and I still have a long future before me."

Bless you! We have to remember that cancer can be fought successfully when taken care of on early detection. Tony will be in our prayers, and you too, as you continue to fight this terrible disease. We also continue to pray that the great research done by our nephew in gene silencing will lead to fast cures of all kinds of cancer.

God, hear my prayer,
And let my cry come to You.
Do not hide from me in the day of my distress
Turn to me and speedily answer my prayer.
Eternal God, Source of healing,
Out of my distress I call upon You.
Help me sense Your presence
At this difficult time.
Grant me patience when the hours are heavy;
In hurt or disappointment give me courage.
Keep me trustful in Your love.
Give me strength for today, and hope for tomorrow.
To your loving hands I commit my spirit
When asleep and when awake. You are with me; I shall not fear.

~~~~~
Prayers to you and your family, Tony. You're an extraordinarily good and godly man. May He rest His merciful hand on your heart and bring peace to you and your lovely family.
We need you, too, PW. Keep up the good fight!
It makes sense that if the Pet Scan did not pick up the Cancer, then the Lesion was too small. This is a positive sign I believe. I had a pet scan in late 2005 because my Gastro Doctor freaked out when she saw something in the lower part of my Lung that was picked up on the film from a ct scan of the Abdominal area. Since I had previously had Colon Cancer even though it was 9 years before, they were very quick to do a Ct Scan of the Lungs themselves, and a Pet scan which is a lot better than a Ct scan for showing Cancer. The only problem is that none of the Several spots on the lungs were big enough for the Pet scan (has to be a certain size for it to show up on pet scan) and so they keep doing Ct scans every 6 months to make sure that they have not grown. They chalk these things up to scars in lung tissues from Numerous bouts of Chronic Bronchitis and Pneumonia. These things do not show up on Lung Xrays normally.
> Would a liver transplant be a viable option or is the cancer now systemic.
There is some news that this is not as bad as it would seem.
'Metastisized cancer is cancer that originated elsewhere (i.e. the colon) and has spread to the liver. It's still liver cancer but didn't originate there.'
Actually it is colon cancer in the liver. As a stage 3 cancer survivor I can tell you that the report he got today is something that all cancer survivors prepare themselves for and, dread at the same time.
When you've gone thru cancer the first time, any time you have the regular tests you (and the doctors) are looking for anything- a spot, a shadow, a small node...and hoping that nothing shows up.
The blood tests that keep track of the markers for Tony's Colon cancer showed up negative (i.e. no change) and the pet scans showed negative as well. What made Tony and the doctors decide to remove the small lesion was that it had grown just a bit. That means they knew something was there, and had been monitoring it...which is often the case with cancer survivors.
I myself have a couple of areas that are being monitored for change. If there is change then that sends up a signal that something is growing and as a cancer patient you don't want things growing.
With this metastasis the chances for 5 yr survival decrease, and like many of you, I cried this morning; but the good news is he is strong, he loves the Lord, he has all of us and much of the nation praying for him and his family, and unquestionably some of the very best doctors possible taking care of him. I will continue to lift him up in prayer and as the President asked this morning, I also encourage any and all to pray for Tony and his family.
Prayers sent for Tony Snow -- one of the best and brightest people in the country. (And one of the best looking, though my husband hates when I mention that.) May God bless and heal you Tony.
I'm afraid he's a goner, like poor Elizabeth Edwards. Sad really. When he was first being treated and gone so much, I had the feeling it was more serious than he let on.
These two recent relapses in well-known cancer victims should give every Republican pause. Our two frontrunners both have a history of serious cancers. Giuliani with prostate cancer, McStain with melanoma. And both promise to release their records but have not done so. They just continue to suck up campaign money.
The same thing could happen with Giuliani or McStain at any time. And I recall Paul Tsongas in '92, telling us how healthy he was and running around in a Speedo swimming vigorously. I don't think he lasted even three years.
If God could put too much class, brains and dignity into one person, he did it with Tony. A tremendous example to all, and we will be praying for him.
Dear Lord,
You know Tony so much better than I do. You know his sickness and his need. You also know his heart.
Lord, I ask you to be with Tony now, working in his life. Let Your will be done in Tony's life.
If there is a sin that needs to be confessed and forgiven, Lord, please help him to see his need and confess, or accept my confessions as intercession.
Lord, I pray for Tony because Your Word says I should pray for His healing. I believe You hear this earnest prayer from my heart and that it is powerful because of Your promise.
I have faith in You to heal Tony, but I also trust in the plan you have for Tony's life.
Lord, I don't always understand Your ways, and why Tony has to suffer, but I trust You know. May You be glorified in Tony's life and also in mine.
Amen
"And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven..."
James 5:15-16
