For all you Rudy haters out there - What if he gets the nomination?

His campaign is actually stupid enough to post this nonsense? Do they not realize we have full access to all his past quotes and videos? LOL! No wonder he dropped 13 percentage points this week -- the word is getting out!

"Rudy Giuliani supports reasonable restrictions on abortion such as parental notification with a judicial bypass and a ban on partial birth abortion – except when the life of the mother is at stake.

Then why, Rudy, did you support Clinton's veto of a PBA ban that provided for exceptions when the life of the mother was at stake? Your past belies your present claims.

He’s proud that adoptions increased 66% while abortions decreased over 16% in New York City when he was Mayor.

Except that abortions nationwide dropped by roughly 28 percent. Which means under his leadership, abortion in NYC lagged well behind the national average. Rudy takes credit for reducing crime at a rate above the national decline during his tenure. He therefore should take blame for abortions in NYC lagging the national decline - but he won't.

When he was Mayor of a city suffering an average of almost 2000 murders a year, he protected people by getting illegal handguns out of the hands of criminals.

If only he stopped there. But he didn't. He also took guns away from long-time law-abiding permit holders. Supported and helped initial federal gun control laws. Gave liberal gun-grabbing efforts bipartisan legitimacy by appearing at Brady Center rallies. And sued gun manufacturers.

As a result, shootings fell by 72% and the murder rate was cut by two-thirds. But Rudy understands that what works in New York doesn’t necessarily work in Mississippi or Montana."

We don't need a president who thinks the Bill of Rights varies from state to state.

Rudy is a liar and a scumbag. He's less honest than Clinton, although would make a slightly (by about 1/10th of a percent) president.

Rudy is NOT to be trusted in any way! His supporters are just as bad, maybe even worse, because they can crank up the rhetoric without the media watching.

Would you vote for this person?

You asked the wrong question. The correct question is:

Would you vote for this person or Hillary Clinton?

Check out how Ronnie Reagan's social positions evolved over time, particularly since his time as CA governor. GHWB was once pro-choice but had a serious change of heart and became pro-life. It happens.

"Rudy Giuliani is a strong supporter of the Second Amendment....what works in New York doesn't necessarily work in Mississippi or Montana."

Rudy:

"The Constitution and Bill of Rights ends at the borders of New York City. Or as POTUS - any dam place I say."

Okay, okay, he didn't say that. He said this..

"Freedom is about Authority. Freedom is about the willingness of every single human being to cede to lawful authority."

Hey! Wait a sec, I don't see a difference?!?!

Giuliani's support drops 13 percentage points since the last USA Today/ Gallup poll, March 2-4.

"Down 13 points? Oh, please, I didn't mean it when I said 'dumb Christian conservatives.'

I kinda, sorta like conservatives. Me and my handlers just don't want 'em anywhere near my campaign."

Nice of CBN to weigh in. This is from the nework that represents the folks who tell us that the reason we lost in 2006 is because true conservatives like them were upset about Foley so they stayed home and let good Christian backers backers like Santorum, Allen and Talent get creamed by the secularists.

Now it seems to me, if we must depend on people who will turn their backs on their loyal representatives at the drop of a hat, who is to say they won't do so again, to Thompson or Hunter or Brownback if another dirty, rotten no good homosexual is found in the midst of the Republican caucus. The 2006 results ought to cause every pro-life politician to wonder when the religious right will throw them overboard.

What, you say? The religious right DID turnout for Allen, Santorum, and Talent? If that is the case, then there aren't enough of them to carry us into a majority in the swing states, so they are irrelevant anyway.

The perverts and losers far outnumber the religious right. And for the last two cycles, when the perverts and losers smell even a whiff of support from the religious right upon a candidate, they show up in droves to vote against him. The devil is whisperin' in their ears dontyaknow. So the religious right is actually a net negative to the Republican party at this point, and becoming as irrelevant in America as thay are in California.

On Abortion: "Rudy Giuliani supports reasonable restrictions on abortion......blah blah blah ...Ultimately he believes that it is a decision between a woman, her doctor, her family, and her God".....

Which means he's still on his knees, puckered up to his abortion-on-demand cronies.

Rudy is also learning how to sign "Doo Dah" a capella for his deep-South campaign swings.

Rudy figured out he needs conservatives to make a decent showing. He'll have a "Come to Jesus" moment every now and then---temporary blackouts from which he'll fully recover AFTER the primaries.

If he gets the nomination, I'd hold my nose and vote for him.

But I will do everything in my power to ensure that never happens!

Would I vote for this Guy? I'm not jumping on the Rudy bandwagon yet, there are things about him that trouble me - in fact I would lean towards Fred Thompson if he decides to run, but - If it came down to choosing between Hillary and Rudy in November 2008 - you bet I would vote for him.

A couple of areas I do like Rudy......

Fighting Crime
Its not a Liberal thing to cut the cities murders from 1,946 in 1993 to 649 in 2001, while overall crime – including rapes, assaults, burglary and auto-thefts – fell by an average of 57%. According to the FBI, New York was transformed from the crime capital of the country into the Safest Large City in America.

Cutting Taxes
It’s not very liberal of Rudy Giuliani to cut more taxes than any Mayor in New York City history, reducing or eliminating 23 city taxes, saving individuals and businesses a cumulative $8 billion, while reducing New Yorkers’ tax burden by nearly 20%. By the end of Giuliani’s term in office, New Yorkers enjoyed their lowest tax burden in three decades, along with the creation of approximately 425,000 new private sector jobs.

Fiscal Responsibility
Rudy Giuliani inherited a $2.3 billion dollar budget deficit and turned it into a multi-billion dollar surplus, while cutting taxes and delivering balanced budgets. He cut the number of full-time city workers by more than 20,000 – excluding teachers, firefighters, and police officers – while slowing the growth of government spending to below the rate of inflation.

Welfare Reform
When Rudy Giuliani took office, more than one out of every seven New Yorkers was on welfare, reflecting intergenerational dependency and a weakening of the work ethic. Under his leadership, the City cut welfare rolls by more than 640,000 – to the lowest number since 1966 – eliminating fraud and abuse while turning welfare offices into Job Centers. Rudy Giuliani believes: “At the core of our approach to welfare reform is the basic concept of a social contract—that for every right there is a duty, for every benefit an obligation.”

This is why it's so important to look at the history of a candidate. Some will say anything to advance themselves during a campaign. What they can't do is change the past.
