FIFTEEN British sailors and marines arrested by Iran off the coast of Iraq could be charged with spying and held until the US releases five Iranian Revolutionary Guards seized by US forces in Iraq earlier this year.
Reports yesterday said a website run by associates of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad had reported that the arrested Britons would be put before a court and indicted.
Referring to them as "insurgents", the site said: "If it is proven that they deliberately entered Iranian territory, they will be charged with espionage. If that is proven, they can expect a very serious penalty since, according to Iranian law, espionage is one of the most serious offences."

The Cornwall can prove her position in Iraqi waters via GPS. The Iranians haven't got a leg to stand on.
Amanutlesswonder must have read the same definition of "insurgent" as most of the media.
Chilling, to say the least, and very convincing.

They do not fit the definition of spies as they were wearing uniforms. Of course, neither the Iranians nor the drive-by media care. They both hate the west.
Double secret spies. Ahmaneedanewsportscoat has apparently caught on to the spy in uniform cover.
Not if the targets are hard. Every day, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week Farsi satellite stations run by Americans of Iranian descent beam the concept of freedom to the people of Iran. Ahmwithoutnuts has vanishingly little support from his people. Using their thug squads to herd civilians into military targets to act as human shields will A: be violently opposed by the Iranian people and B: TOLD TO THE REST OF THE WORLD by those same people. The people of Iran - the ones who's parents overthrew the Shah - are a hairsbreadth from growing the necessary spine to make all hell break loose in Iran.
Iran has already committed one act of war. The ball is in their court: compound it and face the possibility of a pounding from within and without, or stand down gracefully by claiming it was all a misunderstanding, war games going on, ships got a little off course, etc. That is what I suspect will happen in the end.
OH, but ABC showed a mini-crocumentary deifying Jimmy Carter this morning, so SOMETHING must have filtered through the Prozac haze. No mention of a certain 444 days in the life of America, but BUG mention of his Nobel Piece Prize.
I think the next move is for Britain to seize and hold all occupants of the Iranian Embassy in Britain for "activities out of keeping with their diplomatic status" and indict them as spies. If Imanutjob complains about "violation of sovereignty, publish the photos". In any case, say "Since Iran does not recognize international boundaries, and since these persons were well within British Territory, they will be tried as spies. The Geneva convention protects persons captured in uniform, but permits the immediate execution of non-uniformed spies. We will conduct ourselves in accord with the Geneva Conventions."

After committing an ACT of war. And the little coward's hiding out in France.
ABC showed that? The DNC and their MSM allies must be doing damage control on Carter's disastrous policy, which lead to the current crisis in Iran. You'd think the Dems would want to ignore the entire subject of Carter. Was there anything critical of Carter, even indirectly critical, in that documentary?
ROFL!
Yep. I wandered out to get another cup of coffee and they were going on about how he "doesn't pull his punches", how he's a Nobel Piece Prize whiner and how he refuses to back down from saying Israel praactices "apartheid". NO mention of the MESS he made of our domestic economy or his double crossing of the Shah, the Iranian Hostage Crisis, Operation Helicopter Crash....none of it.
It made me physically ill.
We have no Protocol, We have no Geneva Convention, We have your Men and we Had your Woman! - Mahamood Ahmamurderijad
No, you are wrong. There will be countries who sit on their ass watching and doing nothing until after it is all over and counties who side against her.
Exactly correct, When this blows up in everyones' faces, and our brave Troops are attacked my the Mullah Marching Mindless Masses of Ahmamurdererijad then the Drive-By Media will squeal FOUL (Except they are FOWL...Bwack Bwack!)
Spying!? Normally you don't wear a uniform, insignia, or openly bear arms when you are a spy. Those who wear a uniform and insignia when arrested are normally called traitors.
In the fwiw department, I have a personal grudge against the mullahs. Ever since November 1979. Time is long past for revenge. And this dish should be served cold, very cold. Say about 10,000 degrees should do it.

Well , we could deny entry to the head freak when he visits the un.
It seems like a very quiet crisis. Probably there are two factors making it so:
1. It is the weekend;
2. It is the middle of the night over there.
