Latest on dad. At present his blood is too thin to operate as he is on warfarin so they have to get that right before they can operate or else they have big issues with excessive bleeding which unless it was absolutely necessary to operate they of course do not want to have to face.

Also 2 xrays have been inconclusive as to whether the hip is broken or is an old injury which has sort of healed but been aggravated or cracked by the fall.

In view of the above they have decided to do a bone scan on Monday which will give a better indication of what is going on with the hip plus the best way to repair if op is needed. They will either pin and plate or if the bone is not good enough a full replacement. They will probably operate either later on Monday or Tuesday if his blood is OK. they would do elbow and hip together as they do not want to put him under twice. Also they may decide that if it is only a possibility of op on Monday that they do not want he to go without food all day if it is slim chance of an op so they may continue to feed him and then of course op could not be until Tuesday.

I suspect they will make the decision before the bone scan by checking his blood on Monday early if it is still not what they would consider safe to operate then I think they will feed him and schedule op for Tuesday.

Thank you for all your prayers and kind words will check in later tonight and catch up with posting toasters that I have missed. Last night I went out with a friend for a meal then stayed at their place for the night.

I meant to say he was on warfarin of course they have stopped that but at present the blood has not altered sufficient for them to feel happy with operating.
