In response to the democrats passing their ANTI-TROOP bill, President Bush made a statement from the White House, vowing to veto it. [this bill] has no chance of becoming law. Accompanying the president were members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, families of deployed service members and families of those who have paid the ultimate price for our freedom. (Transcript)
Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice met with the Iraq Provincial Reconstruction Team at the State Department.
Press Secretary Tony Snow made an announcement about his health at the end of todays press briefing. (Transcript)
On a lighter note, President and Mrs. Bush welcomed the family of former President Johnson to the Oval Office for the naming of the Lyndon Baines Johnson Department of Education Building. (Click here for more information)
President Bush was also joined in the White House today by Archbishop Demetrios for the proclamation of March 25, 2007 as National Greek Independence Day, A National Day of Celebration of Greek and American Democracy. (Transcript)
Enjoy your visit to Sanity Island
Yep, I enjoyed it...lol.
LOL...kitkat I thought the same thing when I watched it....but my mom didn't see them holding hands the other day so now she is worried.
I could blot those out if you like.
Keep those pictures coming...they're great.
You may have gathered by now that we don't like ifs, ands or butts on this thread.
I don't like to post pics of them without their knowledge....I better not
silent:
EXTRAORDINARY DOSE! . . . LOVED the way you intermingled the President's quotes with photos of our courageous troops -- AWESOME! . . . [I'm glad the AM clarified the problem with the '?' . . . I'm not usually a conspiracy theorist, but . . . !]

TRAITORS WITHOUT A CAUSE
Meet our new Benedict Arnolds
By haystack
After the vote in the House today on H R 1591, the so-called "U.S. Troop Readiness, Veterans' Health, and Iraq Accountability Act, 2007," we get to meet our 2 newest traitors from the GOP.
Meet WAYNE GILCHREST, MD. and WALTER JONES, NC.
Much like their inspiration, Benedict Arnold, they found a better offer than being loyal to those they once took an oath to serve.
The Speaker of the House, America's Mother-In-Law, suggested AGAIN in her closing remarks before the bill passed, that:
I have said from the beginning that this war is a grotesque, grotesque mistake.
She went on to REPEAT that the war on terror is NOT in Iraq, rather it is in Afghanistan, and the sooner we redeploy our troops OUT of Iraq, the sooner we can get back to fighting the REAL war.
I would opine, m'lady, that the REAL war on terror is being fought in the House of Representatives, and you have two new recruits on board to help you lose it. Today, THEY have made a grotesque, grotesque mistake and I aim to help make them pay for it...my memory is long; my forgiveness not as much so.

RASMUSSEN
The President's JA rating has risen again: 43% approve -- including almost 80% of Republicans [Remember, the 'cranks' here at FR do NOT represent even a fraction of our Party members!]

MAY GOD CONTINUE TO BLESS AND KEEP OUR COURAGEOUS COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF!!
I think you're right, but I'm tired of waiting.
I want him to get the appreciation he deserves now, instead of all the grief he is getting.
We stopped getting Time about 20 years ago. It was too full of leftist spin even then.
THAT'S ONE INCREDIBLY HANDSOME AND COURAGEOUS SON YOU HAVE THERE . . . AWESOME PHOTO!
oh i see who you are talking about...dont worry about it go ahead and post it. its only one pic. it's of me and one other person
I'm putting together another package for you . . . any requests?!
Don't you start--LMAO :)
We also keep recycling Governor Moonbeam. He used to date Linda Ronstadt.
I didn't know they were a couple. That explains a lot :)
So, of course, we elected him our new state Attorney General.
Ugh.
We have John Edwards and Mike Nifong--it's not much better :-D
I am not going to post the other one...you can clearly see their tags.....
I've got you both beat...I have Durbin and O'Bama(he's Irish you know!)
I saw a new musical the other night called "Winning."
It was about the election of LBJ in 1948. Everyone in the theatre (except me, of course - ha) looked old enough to have voted in that election.
It seems like only senior citizens and a few die hard musical lovers go to the theatre any more.
But I digress.
The play reminded me that the only way Johnson got elected to the Senate to begin with was blatant fraud. Some guy in west Texas messed with the ballots and before it could get to court, all the evidence somehow went missing.
(remind you of anybody?)
And old LBJ was a horn dog even back then; he even went after Nellie Connolly and John almost left the campaign. She did leave, but finally came back.
Funny how many democrat wives have to put up with horn dog men who mess around on them. LBJ, JFK, BC to name a few recent ones.
If onyx says you're not a BASHER, then you're not a basher; however, I'm almost as tired of the 'supporters' who feel it necessary to QUALIFY every compliment/comment with a snarky-esque disclaimer!
Hi! Good to see you here again.
No requests....can always use more coffee :)
