In response to the democrats passing their ANTI-TROOP bill, President Bush made a statement from the White House, vowing to veto it. “… [this bill] has no chance of becoming law.” Accompanying the president were members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, families of deployed service members and families of those who have paid the ultimate price for our freedom. Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice met with the Iraq Provincial Reconstruction Team at the State Department.

Press Secretary Tony Snow made an announcement about his health at the end of today’s press briefing. (Transcript)

On a lighter note, President and Mrs. Bush welcomed the family of former President Johnson to the Oval Office for the naming of the Lyndon Baines Johnson Department of Education Building. (Click here for more information)

President Bush was also joined in the White House today by Archbishop Demetrios for the proclamation of March 25, 2007 as National Greek Independence Day, “A National Day of Celebration of Greek and American Democracy”. (Transcript)

He will veto it BIG TIME!...........I just wrote my Representative uUUGGH Jane Harmon and told her how disgusted I am with the Democrats in Congress and I would do everything in my power to defeat her in the next election!

There was one thread today where the pro-Bush posts outnumbered the anti by about 10 to 1 and the bashers were few and far between.

It was like breathing fresh air after months of stench on this forum.

It seems that the berth for abusive anti-Bush posts has gotten progressively wider in the past months.

That's why I was so quick to wonder if the Mods had joined in on the bashing. I'm glad to find out I was wrong...........at least THIS time.

If this thread is not protected any more, I don't know what those of us who truly support this President will do other than leave FR altogether.

Grin and bear it. We can fix it by ourselves without the patch most of the time, but we can screw up, too.

Jim Robinson doesn't even pay us minimum wage. Anthing you get from free labor is better than nothing.

My theory. Some fonts cut and pasted display that way on the latest posts page or possibly if the poster is typing using a different font than the default. Apparently the weird characters appear only for quotation marks and apostrophes. If you type the marks manually it displays normally. I know the marks I replaced were a different font because they appeared differently when I retyped them.

Thanks for replying. I've seen the wierd quote related stuff, so I know you're doing as best as you can with your limited resources...lol.

I know all of you donate your time to keep FR running and I think you're very much appreciated 99% of the time by perhaps 95% of the membership and for sure by the 95% of posters "I" like. Want to hear about the 5 percent I despise? :0)
