Tony's doctors have detected a growth of some kind. He will have surgery on Monday. They are not saying that this is or is not cancer. Please be so kind as to offer your prayers, your support for this good man.
Thank you, Foxfavox! Have a good night tonight and good luck with your fundraiser for Davidson College radio tomorrow! :-)
Prayers.
Remember to drop me a line. Godspeed.
Prayers respectfully offered, especially after the news today.
25 I have thought it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus my brother and fellow worker and fellow soldier, and your messenger and minister to my need, 26 for he has been longing for you all and has been distressed because you heard that he was ill. 27 Indeed he was ill, near to death. But God had mercy on him, and not only on him but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow.
Lord, we humbly acknowledge our dependence on you, and we know that when we are weak, then You are strong. We ask you in Jesus' name for mercy for our friend Tony, and we ask you to heal him quickly and completely as you did before.
All who love Tony need your mercy as well, lest we have sorrow upon sorrow. How seldom it is that someone so gifted with such intelligence remains so humble and gracious with such a rise to fame.
Thanks for healing Tony, Lord!
Bump aimee!!
Thanks, dinasour. But if the Bear helped the mouse, rabbit, raccoon, etc to build a Snowman, how does that work? The press wouldn't work to build a Snowman.
It works better if Tony is the Bear and the Snowman is the Show and the Tony Threads on FR.
But then I am really sleepy, so I could be not getting it right. :-)
Long day yesterday -over 14 hours. The end of the day was a series of meetings that started at 4:30 and didn't finish until nearly 8pm. :-) I "slept in" today and got into work earlier than yesterday. LOL
So it's reasonable that I am not making sense at this hour. :-)
Oh my goodness, alnick! I am grateful that you are cancer-free and I am sorry that you had to go through that.

I think that we all could use a laugh.
"Obviously, a lot of folks here in the White House worry a lot about their friend, as do Laura and I.
And so my message to Tony is, stay strong; a lot of people love you
and care for you and will pray for you.
And we're hoping for all the best.
I'm looking forward to the day that he comes back to the White House
and briefs the press corps on the decisions that
I'm making and why I'm making them.
In the meantime, I hope our fellow citizens
offer a prayer to he and his family."

Thank you, saveliberty. I will tell you, like Tony says, it's the best thing that ever happened to me. It puts things into perspective. I've always been a Christian, but I was not previously living for God. That has changed, and that was worth what I had to go through to get there.
:-) I am glad that you recovered and that you were able to turn it into a positive life change. But it's still overwhelming as a FRiend to hear what you went through.
It's much like what's happening to Tony: we can't know what he's hearing or what he's going through so it's harder for us to understand the perspective. I am taking his lead that he wants us to be upbeat, as he is upbeat.
:-) It just takes more effort for us to get there. But we are working on it.
Cheers,
sl
More cheer...
This email just came through internally. I am not kidding
Subject: TURKEY ALERT!!!!
Importance: High
PLEASE GO SLOW IN THE PARKING LOT. WE HAVE 3 RESIDENT WILD TURKEYS WANDERING AROUND. (it's too soon for Thanksgiving dinner!)
> Subject: TURKEY ALERT!!!!
I've lived in New England for years and never saw one, but now they are everywhere.
I saw a big one in my yard yesterday.
The stupid cat takes off after it. She came back a few minutes later, all mad. I gave her a can of Nine-Lives "Turkey and Giblets".
LOL
Does the 9 Lives calm her down?
Now that's a testimony. Praise God!
Once you carry the cross, you have to get closer.
It's almost Easter though.
I'll bring the stuffing if you should....say.... accidentally on purpose "hit" one. :)
