REPORT: All charges may be dropped as early as tomorrow in Duke Lacrosse rape case, FOXNEWS reports... 'We will be hearing a dismissal in the coming days,' MORE...
Nothing follows....
Eeevil Shenanigans!

Actually, it was a newspaper advertisement, as opposed to a petition.
go after Nifong and the professors and even Duke.....they hosed these young men early and often and to me that's the real crime here...
I believe she made up the stories as she went along to protect herself.....
for the record, I doubt that it was a Sunday church service at that house that night.....people would be better off if they lived their lives as if God was watching all the time...( which of course HE does!)
There should be a few people in jail: Nifong, the woman who made the false accusations, and some of the "professors" at this leftist university.
The innocent men should be given 10 million each, tax free.
You may very well be right if all that between the university and the 88 happened that way. I just don't see any players not charged pursuing anything. Reade, Seligman and Finnerty probably don't have great cases against Duke unless what you stated occurred.
About Time , NOW ARREST THE BASTARD DEMORAT NIFONG !
Both emotionally and financially. I hope the state pays dearly for perpetrating this farce.
"Both emotionally and financially. I hope the state pays dearly for perpetrating this farce."
Ditto!
I think it would be a shame to bring down Duke. While I do feel the 88 and the current administration need to be thrown out with the trash; I don't think throwing the whole university out is even remotely reasonable. That would be like imprisoning an entire city just because one citizen committed a crime. If we say it was wrong for the 88 to declare the entire lax team evil; how can we, in good conscience, declare an entire university and all of it's community worthy of destruction? I don't get it.
"...When it comes to the accuser, I have a hard time working up much anger because I feel so much pity..."
Oh, cry me a river...
"A balanced and reasonable response....imprisonment would hardly make the accuser's life worse, though I must say a felony conviction would at least remove her from the voter rolls..."
Additionally, a judgement entered against her might help to ensure that she does not profit from this episode.
Ya' Think? Oh, right, he is s Democrat... Of course he is mentally ill. Democrats are either ignorant, he wasn't; evil, because they knows what they do is wrong and they do it anyway; or mentally ill because they truly believe they are better able to manage other's lives. A pox on all of them and millions to the lacrosse team and jail for the faculty who signed the petition.
LOL. It took me a while, too.
BTW, I did my Ph.D. research, in part, at Duke's library.
Disbarment for Nifong would ensure he won't be in the position to do any harm with such obvious poor judgment in the future. He also needs to be named in the civil suit, but it sounds like he's judgment proof.
The AV should receive the maximum fine/penalty under the law and a civil suit for a judgment to ensure she thinks long and hard before she tries it again or encourages like-minded individuals from trying the same thing. A bankruptcy will void any judgment, but it will also keep her busy for seven years or so.
The State of North Carolina is solely responsible for the financial damages (in my humble opinion) as Nifong was their appointed representative. Sorry folks, but someone is going to have to take it on the chin for North Carolina -- looks like it's going to be the tax payers.
There's nothing anyone but alumni can do about Duke. The students are powerless, the funds and money need to dry up until changes are made and that's sad.
There's plenty of blame to go around, but from what I can tell, there are only so many laws and judgments that will stick.
No prob then. Strategically speaking, it would make much more sense to delay any civil action against the ho until AFTER she inks the book deal. Am I missing something?
I hope, I hope, I hope this is true!
The students should also sue Duke, especially those faculty staff members who defamed the lacrosse player's names. The 88 who signed and posted the harmful posters against the players.
