If their Motto is "to protect and to serve" why didnt he serve himself?
Typical bully cop.
This "man" needs a good thrashing and a loooong jail term.
I notice the bar didn't have anyone for security or, they and everyone else knew this guy was packing. Unlike law abiding citizens with a CCW, an off duty cop as far as i know can carry in a place serving alcohol
Huh. I remember a truck driver like these wussies. He watched me get attacked, watched our janitor/cop wrestle with the muscular attacker and watch them both as the cop pinned the attacker down. He finished his meal, got up and paid for his meal, STEPPED over the two on the floor and left.
Sorry SOB.
What? She didn't give it up.
Haven't you ever drank in Chicago? We're the hog butchers and bartender slappers of the world.
What a disgusting video, but I have less contempt for the by-standers than a lot of you do.
They've GOT to be thinking... "what do I do?" "does this guy have a gun?" "If I touch this guy, am *I* going to be charged with assaulting a cop and end up in jail...?" -- and if those kind of thoughts are going on, I can understand them freezing up and doing what they feel they CAN do -- which is why one guy's on the phone, presumably phoning the police. So... I don't know. It's a tough one.
Anyway, that sure is one plucky bartender. I hope she's okay.
I've noted many times on FR a general principle that seldom has failed me. "Cops suck."
This cop has a long history of alcohol-related crimes. The other people in the bar probably knew he was a cop, and probably armed. Makes ya proud, don't it? I hope this woman sues the city for millions for employing this pig. The news was that the Chicago PD tried to cover this up and got caught.
He'll just blame it on his alcohol problem and go to rehab.
I gotta hand it to that bartender though. She was in his face before she got hit and even after laying into her like that, she jumped up and got right back in his face again.
What a gal!
Put him in jail for five years.
Maybe the other patrons knew he was a cop. Tough call on that one. Thankfully there is video, or we'd be hearing about how the barmaid was at fault.
I saw the tape. No excuse for the behavior.
