Chicago -- This wasn't any barfight caught on tape. An angry man pummels a much smaller female bartender. As it turns out, he's a Chicago police officer and late Tuesday night he was taken into custory. Craig Wall has the complete details on this exclusive story.
"Someone should have put a bar stool up side his face. But, I bet this guy was packing at the time."
And the folks may have known he was packin. Good thing Chicago has gun control. /sarc
No there wont. He isn't part of the Bush Administration.
I wonder if anyone in the bar would have hit him if they would be facing felony assaulting a cop charge?
If the department is covering for him like this, they would make a persons life miserable for striking a cop, even off-duty, even in the wrong.
Maybe especially if the cop was in the wrong. Big city police departments can be cesspools of corruption and cover-ups.
In Chicago, you'll know that's the case if you see an alter behind the bar. It will look like a side alter in a Church for the virgin Mary, or St Joseph. In the middle of the flowers will be a pic of old mayor Daley.
"The police aren't here to create disorder, they're here to preserve disorder."
King Daley.
"If that's true, there's a whole lot more that needs to be cleaned up in that department than just one dirtbag."
You mean the cops in Chicago would pay off and threaten to protect one of their own??? I'm SHOCKED!! Shocked I say.
I think you are right. I used to be the optimistic type until I got to know the retired cop neighbor I used to have.
One day we were fishing and he told me how he "saved the city millions" one time. Apparently a cop was driving really fast down a residential street and had a wreck, flipped his car into someones yard and into their living room nearly killing a homebound lady in her chair.
My neighbor was the first cop on the scene and "covered" for the other cop by swearing that he was just beginning a persuit and saw the whole thing. The poor homeowner did get his house fixed, but the city only had to pay the deductible.
The lady was on medicare so her medical was covered. So a judge granted the city judgement that restitution had been made. Cripes! It's not the most corrupt thing that ever happened, but it was enough for me to tell him that we won't be friends anymore. I don't cavort about with folks who screw over innocents like that.
Chicago is a cesspool. Look at the crap it elects to run the city. How can you respect a city that as other posters have pointed out, citizens stand back and watch as a woman who has the courage to stand up to this guy and tell him no more drinks, but does not have the size to keep from getting pummeled. Chicago embraced Capone and today it stands and watches as a wisp of woman get beaten by big burly drunken rotten cop. Chicago is where the evidently the women have the gonads and the men have neither brains or balls.
Bet your bippy they would!
If their Motto is "to protect and to serve" why didnt he serve himself?
Typical bully cop.
No, there were none. Besides that, those cops arrived on foot. The first 2 vehicles had been "off road".
"But there is a threshold under which they will NOT gig another cop. Some just have a higher threshold."
Depends...
This "man" needs a good thrashing and a loooong jail term.
"Send him to solitary and feed him green bologna ala Maricopa County."
Blow his brains out.
Next to that, death is pleasant. :)
I notice the bar didn't have anyone for security or, they and everyone else knew this guy was packing. Unlike law abiding citizens with a CCW, an off duty cop as far as i know can carry in a place serving alcohol
Somebody's gotta say it, so I will: "Could this be traced back to Affirmative Action, set aside, quotas, 'positive discrimination', etc.?"
Huh. I remember a truck driver like these wussies. He watched me get attacked, watched our janitor/cop wrestle with the muscular attacker and watch them both as the cop pinned the attacker down. He finished his meal, got up and paid for his meal, STEPPED over the two on the floor and left.
Sorry SOB.
That guy had to have 100lbs on that woman. What a slimeball.
I agree with that. I don't drink but I can't imagine even being drunk I would hit a woman. It's just not something I could do. This guy was big and brutal. And that woman was itty-bitty. My money says this guy has beat on women before and probably often.
