I often have to wear safety boots at work because otherwise I cannot wander freely in the factory and have to keep to the walkways.

I therefore walk into work in Caterpillar type boots (cheaper copy) and then change into court shoes (pumps) and then back to the boots either for visiting the factory or walking back home.

I have a pair of Doc Marten boots..that are a dark blue that I wear with my jeans in the winter.
