President Bush Welcomed Prime Minister Clark of New Zealand to the White House and met with her in the Oval Office. The text of their remarks can be found HERE.

Today is the "traditional" FIRST DAY of SRING. In celebration of Spring, two photos from 2006.

Pink Laura Bush tulips bloom in the East Garden. The tulip was named in the First Lady’s honor April 22, 2004.

I don't know what I watched. I just left the TV on and paid it little attenion.

Exactly! And a lot of these girls think they're attracting a guy but then they're surprised when the guys they're attracting end up being jerks. It's just silly.

She was the little rebel. She always told me she'd wear black when she got married. I asked the priest about it and he said he'd have to think about it.

That's when I thought she'd get married in the Church.

That didn't happen.

She got married by a JP who sounded like Darth Vader. He'd had surgery and had to talk through a voice box. It was totally weird.

So, she did wear black. Black shorts and a white blouse. Yes, and I'll admit she looked really cute. She also kept her name.

Oh, well, this time she'll dress up a little and take her fiance's name... at least that's what she says now.

LOL! That's about the truth of it. So many of them look like bull d's.

ASDA is the opposite it is mainly 8, 10 and 12 with a few larger sizes and their cut is on the small size as well. My size 8 trousers are probably my best fitting pair I have another size 8 from another retailer more expensive one and they are loose on me.

Fairy cakes=cup cakes

 

Elevator=lift

 

In Denmark, the restroom (loo or toilet) is marked with a sign that says "WC" or (Water Closet)

The strangest thing I saw were unisex restrooms in most places in Denmark. LOL!!

If you read enough British mysteries, all those terms are familiar. In fact, I often catch myself using British spelling. I always write theatre instead of theater.

I never heard them called "fairy cakes" either. I knew of "loo", "flat", "lift", "bonnet", "boot" and the others though. :)

That's true and personally I like some of the British promumciation better than our own.

I didn't either. I'm not accustomed to unisex restrooms. The concept was unusual.

It was odd seeing my sister and my brother in law go into the same restroom together. Mom said "don't dally around in there". LOL

There are certain phrases that are different too, we would say "5 years ago", and in Britain they say  "5 years on".
