I have a few minutes before company gets here and am trying to get caught up.

Is the following correct:

Gore was to have submitted his written testimony 48 hours before today but asked for 24 hours. Republicans agreed and he didn't even do that.

Typical opening statements are to be 15 minutes but Gore asked for 30. Republicans agreed and Gore spoke for about 40 minutes.

Gore was late.

Gore refused to listen to Republicans opening statements so they agreed to give up that time in exchange for more time to question Gore.

Gore finished speaking and then announces he has to leave at noon which doesn't give Republicans the time that Gore agreed to give them.

Do I have that about right?
