Rush Limbaugh responded this morning to Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who called the talk show host "irrelevant" and said he wasn't Limbaugh's servant. Or rather, Schwarzenegger called Limbaugh's political views irrelevant.
The two men, as Limbaugh pointed out, have shared cigars and the Republican governor generally has been diplomatic about occasional barbs from the nationally syndicated talk show host. (The governor dodged attacking Limbaugh during a recent "Face the Nation" appearance, when he was asked an identical question about conservative critics.)
Toward the end of his remarks, Limbaugh said Schwarzenegger "is a sellout, and I'm seeing way too many Republicans do it. ... I don't know what happened to Arnold. I--I don't--he may--obviously didn't have the leadership skills to articulate conservative principles and win over the public as Reagan did." Read the full transcript after the jump.
Rush Limbaugh, speaking about Schwarzenegger's interview with NBC:
LIMBAUGH: They (NBC) throw something up Arnold, and I have said recently, and it happened today. And he called me irrelevant. He said he's not my servant. And I don't know how it is I can be irrelevant when every time he shows up on the 'Today' show' they ask him about me. I'm just sure he's sick and tired of hearing about it, he's sick and tired of getting the questions.

Besides, Arnold doesn't run the State of Kaleefornia. Maria runs it, and let's him have sex once a month if he behaves.
Rush is Right. As usual.
If I misunderstood your post, please let me know. Otherwise, I beg to differ if you are saying Rush is irrelevant. He's done more for this country than you or I will ever know. Thank God for Rush Limbaugh!!!! How long has he been on talk radio??? 18 years or so? Not a bad run for someone hilllereee said was "amusing and entertaining."
At least Arnold has demonstrated that what he messes up will not reflect on conservatives.
I like Rush, but he's out of line when he starts going off about who is or isn't to be considered a "Republican," as he was doing on his show today. If he want's to cricicize Arnold, that's fine. But don't be going on with this "he's not a Republican" spiel. I mean, if Joe Lieberman crossed over the aisle, he'd be a "Republican," whether Rush liked it or not.
Sometimes the pompousness just wears too thin.
Like Rudy? I wonder what Rush will do if Giuliani becomes the nominee.
I support Rush - I do not support Arnold, and I did not vote for him - TWICE!!
Lieberman would be a Bloomberg "Republican" anyway.
I'm disappointed in Rush--that is a major understatement.
Arnold is a liberal--always was, always will be.
Rush should own up to being duped.
(Rush can be distinguished from those who supported Arnold--and continue to--because he is a liberal.)

(I find it more than amusing that one of you "Already Posted" people post the same "Already Posted" message twice.)
I have no idea what Ah-nuld is doing. I'm not sure he does, either.
Strange thing to say to someone you don't know.Especially when you are referring to an over fed mouth with little else to offer other than entertainment. You didn't misunderstand anything.
schwarzpuker turned out to be a dud!
i didn't vote for him the second time, and i'm sorry i voted for him the first time.
I haven't seen a Republican lately that would be worthy of kissing Reagan's shoes. Today's crop of Republicans need an infusion of testosterone. Wimps, one and all. They've been sucking up all the crap Liberals have been shoving in our faces for the past six years. Someone better wake up and realize that our country and our security is going down the toilet while they play their political power games.
Our children's and grandchildren's futures are hanging in the balance.
