Using Live Mice...
Posted on 03/20/2007 12:30:33 PM PDT by John Robinson
We technicians here in the Free Republic server room experimented with real mice attached to our computers. Unfortunately, not one mouse survived being plugged-in for more than a few minutes. We've reverted back to the hamsters, they're more durable and they know how to dance to the electronic pop music we enjoy.
You should notice a significant improvement in response time.
Go go hamsters.

Girl babies are typically smaller than boy babies. My oldest brother weighed in at 10 pounds, my sister was 9.75 and I was 9.25. My mother was 5’1”, and had seven kids. I think only two of us were “normal” sized at birth, and two were early enough to be borderline premie. But I’m taller than my brothers, and my sisters are all shorter than 5’4”....Gofigger...;o]

Last time you didn’t have another child who needed attention. I’m sure you’ll all be fine!

Yep. We counted that into our planning this time. Hence Grandma coming for a month. ;-)

LOL!
Out of all seven of my mother’s children, I was the only one who made it on the day the doctor said I would. And according to my mother, I was her easiest delivery.

... while he wore it he was "intuitively aware of the direction of my home or my office. I'd be waiting in line in the cafeteria and spontaneously think: I live over there." "Heh, heh, heh ... city folks!" (Curly chuckles in "City Slickers")

I know. I've been doing that since I was a kid. No matter how deep in the Wisconsin woods I went, I could always find my way back to my Grandparents place.
I may get lost on the streets, but I always seem to know which way I'm going in relation to where I left and where I'm headed. I've referred to it as my "Zen method of navigation". I may not take the most direct route, but I'll get where I'm going.

I never get lost either.
Sometimes the place I'm looking for may not be where I expect it to be, but I always know where I am!
That resercher was simply training himself to be aware of directions. That's something that is pretty well ingrained in me now.

What I'd like is a sensor pack for various "invisible" spectra. UV, IR, and quite a bit of the rest of the EM wave lengths. Being able to get a sense of pressure off a electromagnetic field could have some interesting applications.
Same for UV/IR in otherwise pitch dark situations.

You may recruit The Bunitty if you wish.
The offspring are now of age to hunt so they are out of the nest.

"What I'd like is a sensor pack for various "invisible" spectra. UV, IR, and quite a bit of the rest of the EM wave lengths." The difficulty is not in sensing, modifying, or manipulating the data. It is in making a comprehensive display system.
This is why I've been having such trouble bringing the new space helmets up to my standards.
It's tempting to overload it with computers, but that isn't wise.
