Probably going to announce the resignation of AG Gonzales, and apologize profusely to the Democrats.

You'll notice this announcement was made AFTER Rush Limbaugh is off the air.

Not good IMO, once again the dems win.
Did the AG submit his resignation?

If only President Bush was as smart as us Californians, we would not have any controversy. What we did, we saw how the crime rate increased 50% in Oakland after Jerry Brown became Mayor, and said, now there is a man qualified for A.G., and promptly elected him.

Right BEFORE the 6:00 news. Hopefully, he will say he supports Gonzales.

Sad. President Bush needs to tell the Democrats to stop politicizing everything, turning every Republican act into a crime and every flaw into a scandal. No laws were broken here. No rights were violated, no obvious ethical breaches occurred, and no animals were harmed in the making of public policy.
Bush ought to tell Teddy and Chucky and Leaky and the rest of the whiny leftist turds on Capitol Hill to go piss up a rope. Bill Clinton's beefy, butch AG fired everybody and the media thought it was just grand.
But he'll meekly surrender instead. 2008 can't get here soon enough.

President Bush needs to get out more ... none of us out here care about the "prosecutor controversy."
The GOP needs to shake off the Beltway malaise and quit letting the old media set the agenda.

Lets not only point out the firing of 93 U.S. D.A.s by Clinton in his first days, but also he fired 30 additional D.A.s during his 8 years tearing this Country apart! THIRTY of HIS HANDPICKED Appointees.

Let's hope POTUS has the sense to stand by his man. To not do so will doom Bush to lame duck status -- It will just continue on to the next scalp.

Bush isn't going to ask Gonzales to resign.
What will be interesting to see is whether he decides to come out swinging or to give the Dems this one. He's done both in the past. I personally think he's going to stand up for the power of the executive, but I could be wrong.
