From the NY Post:
DAN Quayle, who flies into New York one week a month from Indianapolis for his work with Cerberus, at San Pietro, predicting to Nancy and Bill O’Shaughnessy that Mitt Romney will win the GOP nomination for president…
Pinging Unmarked... Is this true?
If Hillary gets the Democrat nomination, then she will have her head handed to her in the general election no matter who the Republican candidate is.
She may have won a Senate seat in liberal New York State (and that was only because Giuliani pulled out late), but she's way too polarizing nationally.
"One word sums up probably the responsibility of any vice president, & that one word is 'to be prepared'."
All together now: Rominee's the Nominee!
Agree.
Not quite. He served one term in 1847-49 as a Whig. He then ran for the Senate twice, unsuccessfully. He was elected as a Republican in 1860 in a four-way race.
Of course, if the Republican Party implodes like the Whigs, a new party arises from the ashes, and the Dems enter three candidates in the race, then all bets are off...
LoL.. I think thats an Al Gore quote..
Dan got an unfair rap from the press that virtually destroyed his political career. That being said, Romney doesn't have a chance in Hell.
Dan Quayle was always much, much smarter than people gave him credit for. I share his prediction! : )
I've never been able to figure out what he was thinking with that pick!!
Ping!
Can he predict that anyone will care????? Well it would be interesting to see him in a spelling bee. lol.
Um...what's true? Are you referring to FReeper Paperdoll's statement in Post #50 you pinged, or the NY Post story about Dan Quayle's prediction? If the latter, it's in the NY Post so it MUST be true. </sarcasm>
Seriously, I don't know if the NY Sun account is factual, but it's entirely plausible. I don't have any reason to doubt it at this point.
I will always be grateful to Quayle for his remark to a black assembly that "a mind is a terrible thing to lose." LOL
and his reason?
a feeling in his left nut,
or wha'?

But if Peggy was writing for Duncan or Thompson the story would be different she would be season writer with gravitas!
Your Bible study verse for today is Exodus 20:16
She's over the hill today, and she was over the hill yesterday [and even a month before that]. So, why would the story be any different?
