American citizens should, at this point, be desperate for a clear headed conservative in possession of the keys to restore this country. So anyone who listens carefully for a candidate with the stature, substance, and dedication necessary to win will vote for Duncan Hunter.
Hardly, Gore ought to be in jail for all of his shenanigans. What the heck did old Dan do, except spell potato wrong?

Duncan Hunter is a Congressman, 3. He enjoys the respect of his collegues, and the endorsement of Rep. Retired Henry Hyde, Michael Reagan, among many others who know and admire him.
Abraham Lincoln was elected President out of Congress. Even if no one ever had been, who is to say it cannot be done? It depends on the man, 3. And Duncan Hunter is the man.
Dan Quayle was railroaded by the MSM for a spelling error because that was all they had on him. Many people here should use spell check. Dan was/is an honest person with good intentions for this country, we have done worse than him for politicians.
And to think I used to consider Quayle very intelligent...

Dan Quayle as most VP's don't get to do much, little or nothing. Al Gore has done quite a bit of stinking.
Can you provide a link claiming he supported an amnesty?
He voted NO on the amnesty he voted on, and has recently ruled out an amnesty.
I know Henry Hyde endorsed him but I didn't know Michael Reagan did - when did this happen?
Yeah, I've heard he went back on his support for McCain-Feingold. As far as the amnesty bill, I was actually not aware of his support for it. However, I have to assess the matter realistically. As it stands, we're probably not going to get a nominee who is truly anti-illegal immigration, if only because the only ones who are are either single-issue candidates (Tancredo) or ones who stand little chance in the primary and less in the general election (Hunter, unfortunately). As such, I have to try to find the one who, otherwise, best fits my views on the largest number of issues. I don't have any one issue, per se - the closest to it would probably be the right to keep and bear arms. I'm concerned with the overall trend in a candidate's ideological profile. For instance, my dislike for Rudy Giuliani isn't just because he's pro-abortion and anti-gun, but ALSO because his whole ideological and philosophical demeanor suggests to me that he doesn't take the Constitution or traditional liberty seriously.
As far as Thompson is concerned, if he is weak on the immigration issue, well, that's bad, but in and of itself not enough to eliminate him from my consideration. Frankly, I am glad to see that this country is *finally* starting to seriously see a problem with illegal immigration, instead of just sweeping it under the rug like we have done for the last 50 years (even Republicans like Eisenhower and Reagan did this). But therein lies the problem - the country is only *starting* to see this issue on its collective radar screen. We're going to have to keep making noise and scrabbling for every little victory for many more years before we see true momentum - and major presidential candidates - on the truly anti-illegal immigration side.
Is he the, "It's a terrible thing to lose ones mind, or not have a mind at all", Quayle?
