IRAN is threatening to retaliate in Europe for what it claims is a daring undercover operation by western intelligence services to kidnap senior officers in its Revolutionary Guard.
According to Iranian sources, several officers have been abducted in the past three months and the United States has drawn up a list of other targets to be seized with the aim of destabilising Tehrans military command.
In an article in Subhi Sadek, the Revolutionary Guards weekly paper, Reza Faker, a writer believed to have close links to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, warned that Iran would strike back.
Weve got the ability to capture a nice bunch of blue-eyed blond-haired officers and feed them to our fighting cocks, he said. Iran has enough people who can reach the heart of Europe and kidnap Americans and Israelis.
The first sign of a possible campaign against high-ranking Iranian officers emerged earlier this month with the discovery that Ali Reza Asgari, former commander of the Revolutionary Guards elite Quds Force in Lebanon and deputy defence minister, had vanished, apparently during a trip to Istanbul.
Asgaris disappearance shocked the Iranian regime as he is believed to possess some of its most closely guarded secrets. The Quds Force is responsible for operations outside Iran.

Sounds as if the nutjob is getting desperate to start a war before his people storm the palace gates...
Actually I think he is caught between Iraq and a hard place:-)
Yes, it is.
Hey. It worked for them before. Only this time, they can't hide amongst the civilians. They are the leadership of Iran now. Out in the open and exposed.
May I steal it? :)
OK, US Army guys, fool the Iranians, dye your hair brown or black. Second, notice they are not even threatening a US attack. I hope it's the CIA in action with these Iranian generals. It might be the first thing they did right in years.
IMO, we "helped" to arrange the escape of the generals and thier families before another Clintonesque "Airplane Crash"....
If it's the CIA, we'll know about it straightaway from the New York Times.
It would really disrupt the US way of life if Iran were to kidnap Hillary Clinton......
I said....
IT WOULD REALLY DISRUPT THE US WAY OF LIFE IF IRAN WERE TO KIDNAP HILLARY CLINTON......
Are you clowns listening? Get her already!!!!
If I remember correctly, last week Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said he wanted to come to the U.S. to speak to the U.N. I say let him come! We could kidnap him next...just think of the fun the CIA could have with him.
LOL...it would be devestating wouldn't it? Er, I mean...
IT WOULD BE DEVESTATING WOULDN'T IT??
That would be simple easy cheap and effective. We'd never do something that logical at least not if our government is in charge of it.
Its logical for Ahmadinejad to claim they were kidnapped. It provides a plausible cover story for what were probably defections. Also serves to put a scare into the ones that are still in Iran. But three in 2 months...wonder if they were spies for us whose covers were blown and they had to get out of Dodge?
I wonder if they,as high ranking military officers, knew of something which was about to happen and decided to get out of the line of fire.
