My twin sister and I have been made a gift, but certainly not in jest
We're going to be delivered to a Big One named Jack, who is the Best
At writing poems about Furry Creatures, large and small
An opinion held by Pretty Ones, who are really on the ball!

Though Jack does seem to have a preference for we Kittens, after all
Who enjoy listening to the tone of his words when read aloud
For This Big One has a way with words that make us proud!

And then smile a moment later when he mentions favored things
Like the lovely Flowers that arrived with us and the scented joy they bring
Plus Special Places and the sights and sounds of Spring
Or dashing down the Hall to tackle an unwinding Ball of Soft Plump String

It's quite a heady mixture for two coquettish Little Girls
To be the guests of The Big One as he creates melodic pearls
Alexandra and I anxiously look forward to being a part of his World!

Someone got it for me from an album (released in 2000 0r maybe late 90's) called Janis Joplin Essential.
