For four decades there have been rumours that Marilyn Monroe's death was not a simple suicide. Now a Los Angeles-based Australian writer and director, Philippe Mora, has uncovered an FBI document that throws up a chilling new scenario.
BOBBY KENNEDY'S affair with the screen idol Marilyn Monroe has been documented, but a secret FBI file suggests the late US attorney-general was aware of - and perhaps even a participant in - a plan "to induce" her suicide.
The detailed three-page report implicates the Hollywood actor Peter Lawford, Monroe's psychiatrist, staff and her publicist in the plot.
The allegations suggest the 36-year-old actress, who had a history of staging attention-seeking suicide attempts, was deliberately given the means to fake another suicide on August 4, 1962. But this time, it is suggested, she was allowed to die as she sought help.
The document, hidden among thousands of pages released under freedom-of-information laws last October, was received by the FBI on October 19, 1964 - two years after her death - and titled simply "ROBERT F KENNEDY".
It was compiled by an unnamed former special agent working for the then Democrat governor of California, Pat Brown, and forwarded to Washington by Curtis Lynum, then head of the San Francisco FBI. Despite a disclaimer that it could not be sourced or authenticated, it was considered important enough to immediately circulate to the FBI's five most senior officers, including director J. Edgar Hoover's right-hand man, Clyde Tolson.
The report was in effect buried for decades as a classified document, and even the released version contains censored sections. Never before mentioned despite thousands of articles, books and documentaries about her death, it details aspects of Kennedy's on-and-off affair with the movie star, including sex parties and a lesbian dalliance. . .

I've heard that theory for years. Nothing new here.
Read the book "Goddess." It's an incredible, minute-by-minute narration of how it was done. The book's been out for over 20 years. Kennedy's are guilty as hell.
Oh yeah, I know ... investigate investigate investigate. Wondeful. /s/
It is interesting that Marilyn had ties to the Chicago Mafia through both Sam Giancana and Johnny Roselli. Roselli is the man who got Marilyn Monroe signed as an acress in Hollywood. She did not hang around with nice people.
My memory is that Robert Kennedy was one arrogant and mean political SOB.
In the late 1950s Robert Kennedy as council to the McClellan committee was giving Sam Giancana a hard time in questioning. Giancana answered each question by reading the fifth amendment with a smirk and from time to time a slight laugh. Frustrated, Kennedy asked the mob boss, "Are you going to tell us anything or just giggle? I thought only little girls giggled?"
Moot? Woot!

According to Maureen O'Hara's autobiograpy...Peter Lawford had some baggage:
"Unfortunately, Peter Lawford and Richard Boone were not having the same kind of luck with public and press that I was. Lawford and Boone were rude and disrespectful to many Australians and the press as a whole, and the Australians came to dislike both with a passion. While we were in Sidney, the press set out to get them and tailed Lawford and Boone everywhere they went, waiting for the chance to pounce. The press sure gave it to them when they caught Lawford and Boone in a brothel full of beautiful boys. The press couldn't wait to break the story...."
It's my theory that God keeps killing the Kennedys to protect us from them.
Which means, of course, that while Teddy is offensive, he isn't much of a threat.
DiMaggio may have been wrong, but he was married to Monroe and stayed close to her after their divorce. The prevailing gossip about their divorce was that the intensely private man could not deal with Monroe's exhibitionism, and became extremely upset when she filmed the air grate scene for "Seven Year Itch." Although divorced, and Monroe being afflicted with "round heels", she supposedly considered DiMaggio her confidant, and the only man who ever loved her, as opposed to using her for sex and to get money. She was doing a lot of drugs, although in those days, the studio kept the drug stories from the media.
What makes the stories most credible to me is the fact that Monroe was in meltdown, and was becoming a political liability to the Kennedys. In her rendition of Happy Birthday, as sung to Kennedy, she looks a little looped to me. This was only a few months before her death. Although she died of an OD, the coronor's report by Thomas Noguchi showed no drugs in her mouth, stomach, or intestines. This means the drugs could have either been injected or put in by suppository. The tissue samples, lab work, and test results report went missing right after the official ruling had been made. The Kennedys hired her personal publicist, Pat Newsome, shortly after her death.
BTW, Noguchi also did Robert Kennedy's autopsy. Although it was fairly common in Hollywood for the studios to try to cover up celebrity drug use, Monroe had been dead for four hours before the police were called, the lividity of the body showed it had clearly been moved from it's original position, the housekeeper was doing laundry on arrival of the first LA police officer, and the room had been cleaned up.
I have no idea what actually happened, but there's plenty of oddities, enough to keep a theorist busy for years.
Contrary to the Aussie newspaper article, the FBI file is likely not "secret", since the Privacy Act generally does not protect a deceased individual from public disclosure of government files pertainining to him or her. Upon the individual's death, that info is generally available to any party who requests it.
It's an unsourced allegation and obviously the origin of a rumor that has circulated for many years. Just because it ended up in an FBI file doesn't make it more credible. Plenty of wild rumors are reported in these files.
Not Paladin!
Ping!
No doubt. As well as plenty of truths.
"Other suspects are Harry Aleman, Chuckie English, and Anthony Spilotro......"
And what about Khalid Sheikh Mohammed?;)
I think he was still in diapers at the time..........
Just bought a used copy for .01 plus shipping at Amazon. Thanks for the tip.
After his divorce from Patricia Kennedy, he found himself alienated from the Rat Pack and the Kennedys. He died alone in an LA hospital from liver and kidney disease, most likely brought on by alcohol and drug use.
