All the Rudy bashing doesn't seem to have hurt Rudy, he is leading every category.

I think that people need to look at EVERY candidate's background. Just because Rudy was to the forefront during 911, doesn't make him a viable candidate. He's liberal on too many issues for me.

You are focusing on the wrong thing.
The REAL and only question is:
1. WHO CAN BEAT HILLARY.
And in addition to that Rudy is a real leader, exactly what we need in a time of war. All the other things are irrelevant. OK, the judges are NOT irrelevant, they are also important, but Rudy said and Ted Olson is vouching for him, that he will nominate judges like Roberts and Alito.
As yourself -- do you want Hillary leading us in the War on Terror -- she'll surrender us to them. Do you want Hillary appointing judges and a Dem Congress rubberstamping them?

WHO CAN BEAT HILLARY. Yup and it looks like from what I read this morning that Hillary is the favorite among the Democrats even though Obama is doing well. She is going to win the Democrat nomination hands down.

If Fred Thompson enters the race, he's the perfect candidate. He's far better on the issues than Rudy; he's just as much a "public figure" and "celebrity" due to his "Law and Order" job; and he can just as easily defeat Hillary. He came out against the Libby verdict (the ONLY one to do so among the "known" Republicans, which greatly increases his "fighter" edge over Rudy).
Right now, he's the one guy standing between Rudy and the White House, and Fred's my candidate if he enters.

I'm a churchgoer and I support Rudy. If Thompson is the nominee, I'd support him too.

Looks like this election will between two Democrats.
One on the Democratic ticket, the other on the Republican ticket.

If Thompson enters the race, he'll immediately pick up a lot of undecideds and much of Rudy's support will jump ship. Of course many McCain supporters are only there because he's known and he's not Rudy. He'd tank within days.

It is clear that Rudy Giuliani in fact does receive a lower percentage of the vote from highly religious Republicans than he does among those who attend church less frequently, Gallups Frank Newport wrote in an online analysis.
I guess I am in the"highly religious" group.

And the ones that jump to Thompson did not really want to support Rudy in the first place. I hate to say this, but If Thompson runs the party will split and Hillary will win.

It's going to be an election to forget. The Repubs will give us a pseudo-conservative and the dems will give us a radical communist. Repubs will vote for the pseudo-conservative just to keep the communist out of the oval office.
