Ayaan Hirsi Ali is untrammeled and unrepentant: "I am supposed to apologize for saying the prophet is a pervert and a tyrant," she declares. "But that is apologizing for the truth."

Statements such as these have brought Ms. Hirsi Ali to world-wide attention. Though she recently left her adopted country, Holland--where her friend and intellectual collaborator Theo van Gogh was murdered by a Muslim extremist in 2004--she is still accompanied by armed guards wherever she travels.

The left, even Bill Maher, are defenseless against an articulate black female victim of Islam willing to speak against its abuses -- which she traces back to Mohammed himself. Perhaps, as some have suggested, she is the Martin Luther of Islam.

Many liberals loathe her for disrupting an imagined "diversity" consensus: It is absurd, she argues, to pretend that cultures are all equal, or all equally desirable. But conservatives, and others, might be reasonably unnerved by her dim view of religion. She does not believe that Islam has been "hijacked" by fanatics, but that fanaticism is intrinsic in Islam itself: "Islam, even Islam in its nonviolent form, is dangerous."

It's displacing the shame over not having the courage to oppose the group that you know will hurt you onto the group you know will not.

The most serious threat to Western civilization is the spread of Islam and yet the Left embraces the religion of Global Warming. They ignore the fact that if Islam were to achieve their goal of world domination, Liberals would be the first "infidels" to be executed.

Crystal clear thinking going on in your world I can tell. One has to wonder how the left can stand to drink the koolaid? As the Pope reminded us of the past -

Pope Benedict XVI proved that the war (that has been going on since 622) is just a heart beat away with just a few words -

that he quoted Emperor Manual II Paleologos of the Byzantine Empire, the Orthodox Christian empire which had its capital in what is now the Turkish city of Istanbul.

Greatly disturbing it maybe, but we as Americans need to act accordingly. Therefore I try to shoot at least once a a month, and stalked up on dried goods and water. As much as I may disagree with the president on different issues, the war on terror needs to be won over there. If it comes here, they may get a hit or two, but they will discover allah is nothing compared to to the greatest country on earth...hell will look sweet compared to what we Americans can deliver!

She is courageous! She deserves our support. If she writes a book we should buy it.
Unfortunately, it will take hundreds more brave people like her to convince our so-called leaders that they must expel the proponents of the ideology of death and destruction and close the borders to additional infestation.

She has written a book-- two, in fact.
Her memoirs, titled *Infidel*, were released last month. *The Caged Virgin,* about the mistreatment of women under Islam, was published last year.

This woman corroborates most of the points Mark Steyn makes in "America Alone."

But conservatives, and others, might be reasonably unnerved by her dim view of religion. She does not believe that Islam has been "hijacked" by fanatics, but that fanaticism is intrinsic in Islam itself: "Islam, even Islam in its nonviolent form, is dangerous."

She doesn't unnerve this conservative. The only religions she has problems with, according to this article, are Islam and multiculturalism.
