Personally get the opinion on a lot of these threads, that many of those who are figuratively shouting "RACISM" would be accusing others of being namby-pambies on a [European-descended] on [non-European descended] crime thread.

It is often pointed out that when Latino groups accuse things pertaining to illegal immigration as being racist that they're the ones who automatically think that illegal aliens are Latino. But look at this thread. All that is mentioned is that there is an increasing influx of Latinos to this locality, and yet the first keyword put in was IMMIGRANTLIST.

Seems that those Latino groups have a point (though they SHOULDN'T).

"Charged with" and "convicted of" are not the same. Also, are the Black "hate crimes" convictions typically of a racist nature, or of some other, such as anti-homosexual? Confusing similar catagories that don't necessarily correlate is a popular way of lying with statistics.

Your link has to do with ethnically native Hawaiians. A lot of them are pushing for full independence for the state, so it would make sense that they would try to discourage settlers from the mainland. Your article doesn't suggest that this is the attitude of the non-ethnically native Hawaiians (descended from Asians and other Pacific Islanders) who make up the bulk of Hawaii's population.

"Native" Hawaiians are similar to Inuit Alaskans, they make up a larger percentage of their state than Amerindians in the contiguous 48 states, but they're still a very small minority.

FYI historical trivia, a underground nuclear test to explore the ability to drive gas out of oil shale was conducted in Rifle in the 70's.
