And for those who keep denying how far China has come in granting political rights, who keep claiming that China is still the totalitarian prison camp of yesteryear, here's another FR thread revealing how the French are apparently going to crack down on free speech and press:

Zook, Zook wake up....

"I say snap, I say snap out of it boy"
FogHorn LegHorn

We fought two wars to keep the French Free and they are a collection of dweebs.

The Taiwanese are brave men and women who have stood defiantly against the Communist Chineese Dragon for what 60 years now?

You are not helping your side at all bringing up France. lol

Since I confuse you so I will type slowly..

China sends it's spy's to the US seeking nuclear weapons technology.

http://www.gertzfile.com/gertzfile/wires.html

"The 1998 report by the CIA and five other agencies said "losses are extensive'' at the besieged Energy Department, and include "classified nuclear weapons design information to the Chinese'' as well as declassified and unclassified material to China and other countries."

China sent money thru Monks to Gore-gatha & the Clintoons to effect the US Presidental election.

"Seventeen people were eventually convicted for fraud or for funneling Asian funds into the United States elections. A number of the convictions came against longtime Clinton-Gore friends and political appointees."

A Chinese General threatened to "Nuke LA" over Taiwan Independence... LOL

"If the Americans draw their missiles and position-guided ammunition on to the target zone on China's territory, I think we will have to respond with nuclear weapons," Zhu Chenghu, a major general in the People's Liberation Army, said at an official briefing, according to the Financial Times."

Zook:

"TI [Taiwanese Independence] is not worth a drop of American or Taiwanese blood."

We really appreciate you concern. BTW 90% of the Taiwanese people stand ready to take up arms if you try to invade.

For those that want a more in depth analysis of why shills for the Communist Chinese are desperate to weaken US public support for Taiwan..

http://www.nwc.navy.mil/press/Review/2003/Summer/art3-su3.htm

The US has significant ground forces in the Middle East...however we are using few air and naval assets.

In other words the US Navy & Air Force woule like to get something going and really warm up to the job of defending Taiwan

Defending Taiwan would allow the US Navy and Air force to play into their Strengths and the Communist Chinese weaknesses...A week into the fight the US would be short a couple Carriers (maybe) and the Chinese would be on what oil reserves they have as the tankers normally delivering to them would either be on their way to the US or at flaming hulks (assuredly).

If you want to play it nice, let's play it nice..

If you want to play it hard, let's play it hard.
BW 5th Element

See Zook we understand your game...

Darn it... an to think we are communicating in a medium created by the US Army DARPA (think they knew)...rotflol

It's not that China is becoming more like France. It's that France is becoming more like China.
