Rudy Giuliani vigorously defended his wife, Judith, as the perfect stepmom just days after his son, Andrew, revealed he doesn't get along with her. "My wife, Judith, is a loving and caring mother and stepmother," Giuliani told reporters after a meeting with Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and county sheriffs.....he stood foursquare behind his wife, whose highly public relationship with Giuliani began while he was still married to the mother of his two kids.
Andrew Giuliani bluntly disclosed.... "There's obviously a little problem that exists between me and his wife." Sources familiar with the difficult relationship between the Giuliani kids and their stepmom said it started deteriorating before the couple married June 2003, but went south quickly after the wedding.
Giuliani's kids had hoped to carve out time to spend with their dad alone as things got worse, but he opted against it, the sources said.
At the same time, Rudy was involved in the life of Judith's daughter, Whitney, and even spoke at her graduation from York Preparatory school in May 2004. Sources say Giuliani has not visited Andrew at Duke, and that his relations with Caroline also are strained....even worse than with his son. Before she wed Giuliani, Judith went through a bitter court fight with Bruce Nathan over who would have custody of their daughter. Her ex-husband filed court papers in 2001 that said his daughter ran away from her mother when she was 16 and voluntarily moved in with him during the time when her mother was regularly at Giuliani's side in public while he was trying to get a divorce from Hanover.

Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton told the nation’s leading gay rights group in an unpublicized speech that she wants a partnership with gays if elected president.
Clinton also said she opposes the “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy regarding gays in the military that was instituted during her husband’s presidency.
“I am proud to stand by your side,” Clinton said in a keynote speech Friday to the Human Rights Campaign. Neither Clinton’s campaign nor her Senate office made any announcement that she would be making the Friday address.
Asked twice at a Monday campaign stop in Iowa why she did not publicize her speech to the group, Clinton said: “You’ll have to ask my campaign.”
In the speech, Clinton joked that she shares the same initials as the group, and pledged to maintain the same close working relationship that last year helped defeat the federal amendment which would have banned same-sex marriage.
“I want you to know that this is exactly the kind of partnership we will have when I am president,” Clinton told the group. “I want you to know that just as you always have an open door to my Senate office, you will always have an open door to the White House and together we can continue this journey.”
Clinton’s husband Bill Clinton was president when the Pentagon instituted the “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy, which says gays may serve in the military only if they keep their sexual orientation private. In 1999, as she prepared to run for the Senate from New York, Clinton publicly opposed that policy.
Previous to Bill Clinton’s administration, gays were flatly forbidden from serving in the military.
Sen. Clinton said it would be safer for the nation if openly gay soldiers, sailors, Marines, and airmen could wear the uniform.
“This policy doesn’t just hurt gays and lesbians, it hurts all our troops and this to me is a matter of national security and we’re going to fix it,” Clinton said.
Her chief rivals for the Democratic nomination, John Edwards and Barack Obama, also favor repealing the policy.
She also criticized the Bush administration for making political appeals based on gay rights issues, vowing that her presidency would mark “the end of leadership that has politicized the most personal and intimate issues.”
Human Rights Campaign vice president David Smith said Clinton’s comments were “very well received,” though he added the group is not endorsing any candidate and does not anticipate making an endorsement “anytime soon.”
Clinton spokesman Blake Zeff said Tuesday the candidate “affirmed her desire to have a strong partnership with the community as president,” adding they were “delighted” the speech was available on the Internet.
Clinton aides said no announcement was made because the group’s gathering is traditionally closed to the press. Video of the speech was posted on the group’s Web site.
Smith said such annual board meetings have always been closed to the press, but it was the first time he could remember that a speech at such a meeting had been made public afterward.
“There’s no contradiction,” he said. “The event is always closed to the press and we wanted to make (the remarks) available for people to see.”
Clinton spent Monday in Iowa, telling workers energy independence is critical to the country’s future and similar to the U.S. fight against communism during the Cold War.
“Today we know that we have to move away from our dependence on foreign oil. Everyone says that,” she said. “Our problem is figuring out how we would actually do it.”
Yuk....who needs this dirty laundry every day. Rudy brought this on himself....he's a CHEATER....PERIOD. Kids don't like CHEATERS.

No doubt Rudy's war (gag) credential far exceed his family values.
As far back as 1993, when he ran for mayor of New York City, Giuliani was dogged by accusations that he pulled strings to avoid the draft. In fact, Rudy wangled a rare occupational deferment from serving in the Vietnam war in 1969, when he was a law clerk.
However, Rudy's scheming to get an occupational deferment is a far cry from 2008 Rudy's assertions, that he opposed the Viet war on "tactical and strategic grounds."
No kidding, Rudeo?
Rudeo's "tactical and strategic grounds" blather is nothing but a naked attempt to pump his 2008 resume in the absence of solid military credentials.
"Peace through strength" was the Reagan line Rudy kept regurgitating at CPAC. I guess he can call on his "military" experience as a law clerk for that. /s

She worked for him.

But the good news this is all erupting now, far far in advance of the election. :)
You don't have "a relationship" with the President Of The United States. You vote for someone who can execute the oath of office competently and in the interests of the nation.
It doesn't matter whether you "trust" or have "a relationship" with the President. It matters only that you vote for the person who can best serve the nation and the U.S. Constitution.
I can't guess your own motives, but it's clear that many on these threads have an almost infantile or childish view of what a U.S. President should be. He ain't Big Daddy.

Maybe I need to start pointing out that Duncan Hunter, excuse me Duncan Eaten-One-Too-Many-Donuts, isn't exactly Presidential material.
One out of three isn't so good, especially when many close to him would describe hism as "hot tempered" over strong willed.
By the way, you may want to edit the sentence I quoted. you appear to be missing a word or two that would have greatly helped in making your point.
Have you had no exposure to the emotional nature of teens and post-teens amidst marital disruption?
Doesn't matter whether through divorce, or death of a spouse/parent, or whatever.
Kids have strong emotions about these things, and those emotions do not amount to "facts".
Unless you're a reporter for the New York Post.
