My uncle was in the SeaBees in WWII. Sounded like it was a pretty dangerous job. Thanks for your service, Uncle Fred.

I'll bet few know that the Seabees were right in there at the beginning of the Seals. Tom Crist was an engineer and Seabee officer clearing Pearl Harbor after the attack when the brass were looking for men experienced in underwater demolition, and became the XO of UDT 1 and the CO of UDT 2.

You guys have the hardest song to sing. We make all the new selected Chiefs sing it every year and when they start out you might not be to impressed, but by the end, you might be.....naw...lol.

My youngest Son graduated Navy basic training a week ago yesterday. He's at A-School in Port Hueneme now. Construction Mechanic in the SeaBees...

Mrs. Liberty and I grew up in the Port Hueneme (Oxnard) area. Congratulations for raising a fine son. I actually just left Port Hueneme 2 years ago, after having worked there for 20 years.
