If I remember correctly, Thompson had some nasty stuff to say about his friends in the Senate and they weren't very nice.

Thompson didn't look very healthy to me in the ad he did for Sen. Corker- hope my impression was wrong.

Plus, he clearly has a good stage presence.

From how I read that link in post 70, it's not as if he's allowing illegals in, but documented foreign workers.

Uh, yeah, you made that clear. My only point is that someone with such a view would at least prefer relegating Rudy (if somehow he's going to be in office, hypothetically) to the VP office instead of the presidency. Cripes, it's a bit of humor. Please ignore me from now on.

He does sound tolerable compared to the so called front runners but I'm not terribly fickle. Personality wise I like his strong mannerisms. I could stand a Thompson/Hunter ticket but I'll have to see more.

Most interesting to me is the speed at which some are so willing to dump Rudy.

Bet Rudy's shaking in his pumps right about now.

Wait till you here of Thompson's baggage. He's done more broads that Clinton.

He'll never survive his woman problem.

Nope, not really; just some talk around D.C. from some people I know.

And then jellybean mentioned it one night and we were off!

I really like this guy!

He didn't break any furniture endorsing McCain.

While there are a couple of areas were we disagree I nonetheless have a huge amount of respect for him, he's always had a reasonable argument for the positions he's taken even if I see it another way.

I am very much pulling for him to get into this.

He seems good on guns, good on fiscal issues, and decent on foreign policy and trade.

It bothers me a bit that he supported McCain-Feingold, but like I said before, two or three issues won't kill it for me, but when it's 843 issues (Rudy) it does.
