A state legislator in Florida wants to put a stop to illegal aliens – no, not undocumented immigrants, but the use of the term "illegal alien” in official state documents.
Sen. Frederica Wilson, a Democrat whose district is home to thousands of Caribbean immigrants, said: "I personally find the word ‘alien’ offensive when applied to individuals, especially to children. An alien to me is someone from out of [sic] space.”
She has introduced a bill that would bar a state agency or official from using the term, Florida’s News-Press.com reports.
"There are students in our schools whose parents are trying to become citizens and we shouldn’t label them,” she said. "They are immigrants, through no fault of their own, not aliens.”
Wilson said she doesn’t like the term "illegal,” either.
"I like ‘undocumented’ better,” she said.

The 'politically correct' liberals get worse and worse. I shouldn't even be shocked anymore or question if they'll stoop lower, and they of course will. I suppose they won't be content until everything they deem 'inappropriate' is sensored by the state. They'd love to have all who disagree with their agenda plopped in a jail cell, preferably conservative Christians.
Considering that the original U.S. Immigration statutes designated the term Illegal Alien as a legal designation, it appears that Florida is taking State rights to a new high. The problem is that the Neocoms(new communist/socialist aka Libs)always begin their assaults with an attack against the language and meanings of traditionally understood descriptive terms.
