President Bush Met with Military Service Organizations in the Roosevelt Room today and then gave them a tour of the Oval Office.
My husband was raised on Lipton's and, IMO, it is just what the doctor ordered after being sick, so that's what we always gave the kids.
(Along with a piece of toast. :)
You take care of yourself, onyx! Get ALL better now!
The moaning and groaning I heard on ALL of the radio and TV talk shows today...as well as some threads..
About Pres. Bush CAVING and cozying up to the enemy and such just made me furious today.
Then, I watched Brit Hume's show tonight..and he reported that what they are doing is something that Pres. Bush has said all along he would participate in..
Brit pretty much had the attitude "much ado about nothing".
Since then, I haven't given it another thought.
WOW...I have found the same difference in the soups.
I am not even sick and I am starting to want some after talking about it tonight..LOL
Onyx...thanks for the thread.
I am afraid you did too much today, my friend.
Please rest, eat chicken noodle soup, drink a lot of fluids...
Prayers up for you sweetie.
I get especially irritated at Rush because he CLAIMS to 'know' President Bush, and yet he reacts with knee jerk comments that indicate that he doesn't have a clue.
That's what happened today, IMO........so I just turned him off and listened to the Classical station and felt ALL better. :)
LOL! Well, if you have Cup-a-Soup, go for it!
Yes, I have over done and I'm paying the price. You have mail (((sleuth )))
Thanks, Brit always gets it right. I feel better.
What's the matter with Rush today...he usually doesn't go off quite that half-cocked.
Cream of chicken soup is an old standby here, Snugs. I sometimes use it in casseroles. The only thing is that they're putting so much water in the canned soups today that it throws the casserole recipes off.
The soup that Txsleuth and I are referring to is just chicken broth and tiny bits of noodles (like vermicelli).
No matter what's put in it, IMO, chicken soup is good. :)
I was VERY surprised about Rush's take on this today...because like you said...he usually doesn't knee jerk...especially when it comes to Iraq.
I didn't seen Hannity and Colmes tonight..because I watched AI...but Sean was VERY upset on his radio show.
After I heard Brit...and his logic, and matter of fact take on it...instant calm.
There is nothing new in this policy, and it has recent precendent.
Anyone who says otherwise is ill-informed and reactionary. (And that definitely includes Rush today).
Next time I send you some Wheat Thins...I will send some boxes of our Chicken Noodle soups we are talking about.
There are 2 brands, Lipton and Campbells...there a very similar...but different (if that makes sense).
You can try them out..and let us know what you think.
That is, if you would like me to.
That's why they jump on things that seems controversial, IMO.
While Rush tends to be sane about Iraq and thinks before he speaks, he sure didn't today. Like I said, I turned the show off and determined to find out what the real story was before I reacted at all, because any time any policy change doesn't make sense, it's usually been misinterpreted.
This is definitely one such case.
I hope so...I am going to listen tomorrow to see if he has "learned" what is going on today...and will modify his rhetoric.
I suspect the Campbells is similar to Batchelors cuppa soup because they are or used to be owned by the same company and in Britain the soup made in Ashford.
I do not think they manufacture poweder soup under Campbells in the UK or the tinned concentrated type which my nan used to love.
Wat varities do campbells do?
Night all
