In Europe we have nothing so evil that we would use capital punishment.

Everything is an illness, or a disorder or whatever... we have no moral absolutes.

Why should he live after killing that boy?

A society should reflect it's outrage in the sentence.

Let the family of the boy decide & carry out this freaks' punishment. I know what I would choose if it were my son.

At least we can be sure that the court won´t allow him ever to leave prison, at least not before he turns 75. Although life-long usually means 15 years, it can really mean life-long if the convicted poses a threat to society. This man has proven he is. So, I hope the police catch him fast, or that he has judged himself with a rope or so.

Society has an obligation to kill child rapists. If someone raped my 5 year old son and served only 2 years in prison, I would torture and kill him when he got out. I don't care if I went to prison, although any sane jury should acquit for parental revenge. I would be (as in this case) very likely preventing the murder of another parent's child, and that would be worth the sacrifice.

Government is not the people. It used to be. It is not anymore. Vigilante justice is increasingly the only true form of justice, as our corrupted justice system increasingly serves a shadow socialist agenda and not the people.
