Islam is growing fast among African Americans, who are undeterred by increased scrutiny of Muslims in the United States since the September 11 attacks, according to imams and experts.
Converts within the black community say they are attracted to the disciplines of prayer, the emphasis within Islam on submission to God and the religion's affinity with people who are oppressed...
King, who wears his hair in dreadlocks, converted after visiting Africa for the first time and in Gambia read the Koran and realized its teaching chimed with his own beliefs, not least in fighting injustice.
"For young African Americans, there is some attraction to learning about traditions that have been associated with resistance to European imperialism," said King, who has adopted the name Bilal Mansa since his conversion.

It won't be pretty at all. The sheep will ask for more gun control and more strip searches when you want to get on an interstate or airplane. The criminal Congress will give them that and more. Not good at all. We will probably all be tagged with microchips for "security" reasons, but it will be seen that the chips are only good for collecting taxes and controlling your life.
I don't think the US is considered "most guilty" but we are held to a higher standard because of these words ....
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--
IMHO I think we should be held to that higher standard. It was hypocritical to found this country on these principles and let slavery continue to exist within it. That has left a very deep wound in this nation. We were better than most but not what we should have been.

Unfortunately, the alternative at the time was not to found the country on anti-slavery principles, it was to not found the country at all.
I would have to agree that this option was better!
