I watch all those unsolved mystery shows about the bible, and the scholars they interview are always coming up with information they claim is in the bible that I have never seen.
We have to remember the bible has been translated over and over. No telling what it really said in its pure form. Perhaps these scholars have access to old texts that were once part of the early bible.

Those are programs produced by atheists or heretics. Their entire point is to destroy traditional orthodox Christianity. I have a friend who watches them. I've had to spend many hours correcting the bad and flaky ideas they have peddled to him.
It is not difficult to learn about the authenticity and relative pedigree of the two major manuscript families though one has to do some reading. But don't expect the truth from the TV. They're just there to sell the commercials and to expose people to liberal and heretical ideas that corrode orthodox Christianity.
