He's not a Liberal. He accomplished many Conservative things while in enemy territory. I live in enemy territory in NYC and have fought all my life for right-wing beliefs. It's easy being a conservative in friendly territory where you're surrounded by like minded people. Giuliani paid his dues to the Right by fighting the Left for 8 years as mayor of NYC. Law and order issues are not Liberal. Supporting capital punishment is not Liberal. Opposing Christian bashing is not Liberal. Standing up to Islamic terrorists is not Liberal. He did many other things that were not Liberal. He was on the battlefield fighting Liberals for 8 years. He deserves respect for that.

If he were that conservative and really had presidential aspirations, he should have put those principles to work somewhere other than New York City.

The reality is that he was way too liberal to win almost anywhere else.
