Psalm 117

O praise the Lord, all ye nations;
praise Him, all ye people.
For His merciful kindness is great toward us;
and the truth of the Lord endureth for ever.
Praise ye the Lord.

Holy Father,

We lift up our eyes unto You, our God, knowing that You are the source of our help. We acknowledge that you are our Keeper, the Preserver of our soul, and Your merciful kindness is great toward us. We are blessed by Your holiness, Your wisdom, Your understanding, Your faithfulness, and Your love. We confess that we can do nothing to earn these precious gifts from You, for what You want from us is not our own striving, but our acceptance of the priceless gift of Jesus Christ, our Savior, and the absolute assurance that we have eternal life. Our Blessed Holy Father, what a privilege it is to know that when we leave this world, we will be with You throughout eternity. May Your Mighty Name be praised and glorified both now and evermore.

Our hearts are grateful for the righteous man You have given us to be our President. Though his afflictions are many, You deliver him out of them all. May Your truth penetrate every part of his life---his family life, his spiritual life, and his life as leader of the free world. As he grows in grace and in knowledge of You, we ask You to help him to have greater understanding of who he is in Christ Jesus. You have given him the authority to use the Name of Jesus in his prayers, standing upon the Word of truth that cannot be denied, confident that he can do all things through the One who strengthens him. Father, give him new energy to fulfill all the purposes You have for his life. Help him to have a strong sense of mission, and the desire to do all for Your glory during his tenure in office.

Merciful God, place in our military men and women a love for You, and help them to know that they cannot be separated from that love, no matter where they are on the face of this earth. Fill them with a strong commitment to their work and to the final prize of victory. We ask You to bless them for their faithfulness to every American citizen and we pray for total victory in Iraq. Place Your strong shield of protection over Your beloved Israel and help them to prevail against those who seek their destruction.

Father, we pray that You would defend and preserve America, for there are many who are plotting and scheming to fracture and divide this great nation. We pray for our lawmakers to stand up for citizenship and the rule of law as it applies to immigration. Help them to insist on the enforcement of existing laws. Restore our nation to the great “melting pot,” Father and help us to be united rather than divided. Help us to be One nation, under God once again, that we may honor You. In the Name of our Beloved and Precious Savior, Jesus Christ, our Lord, we pray all these things. Amen.

Heavenly Father,

We thank You for Your goodness and mercies, they are new every morning. Lord, You have blessed this country in so many ways; freedom to worship, vote, speak our hearts and even to be wrong. We pray that You guide us down the right path, that narrow road. Open the eyes and hearts and minds of people who are lost without You. May Your children be bold and light the way for the lost to You.

Father, we thank You also for President Bush. Give him Your wisdom, understanding and discernment. Give him Your words to speak Your truth. We pray he is guided by You and is faithful to You in every decision he makes. Surround him with people of integrity and wisdom. Protect him and all around him, and his family.

We also lift up all our leaders to You. Everyone from local to federal, especially the house and senate. Father, speak to each leaders heart. Give them wisdom, knowledge and understand from above. Where there is division, bring peace and truth. I pray Your Holy Spirit guides them. Should they reject Your Spirit, I pray You convict them, so there is no doubt of Your will and truth. We pray they do not turn away form Your will.

We pray for every man and women serving our country. Bless them, protect them, give them supernatural insight and wisdom. Let Your spirit lead them to safety and victory. Psalm 18:32..49

Lord God, thank You for what You are going to do. I pray we, Your children, keep the faith and remember You are in control. I also pray, the world sees Your greatness and power and gives You the thanks and glory You deserve for Your goodness and mercy.
