Wha...???...Never in the old Southern literature I've read and not in Yankee Webster's dictionary either. I've never heard mulattoes referred to as pickaninnies. It was an endearing term for Black children.

I'm pretty sure the Websters I had that was printed in the 60's gave that definition. The new ones allow people to say things like Quepon for Coupon or Hieth for Height. If I didn't read it in Websters, then I heard it in a locker room, so it's true.
