That's the official line. There are no Saddam WMD's. Saddam was our guy sorta. He was getting long in the tooth and we needed to intercede before Iran engineered one of those spiffy people islamic revolutions in Sadr City and watched it expand. Our top guys know democratization of the ME in the short term is going to make things worse. Why? Because the idiots over there will vote for what makes them feel good, not what'll make them get ahead.
