You can be sick and tired of it, but if we don't carry through, then we will have a lot more death and trouble in the future. Those who force us to not complete our job, our mission, will be responsible for those future deaths.

What is "our job" and "our mission?" Not what it was but what it is now? A hundred words or less, please. My eyes glaze over it it's any more than that.
Our job is supporting and protecting a pluralistic, democratic Iraq while combating international muslim-based terrorist organizations. For the last 3 years we and the Iraqis have been doing a great job at that. Iraq has a representative government and the list of international terrorists caught or killed in Iraq is long.
We are knee deep in supporting Iraq's representative democracy while fighting terrorism and confront Al Queida every day. Would you prefer to go back to 2001 and relive 9/11? The same orgainization we're battling in Iraq attacked NYC and Washington 5 years ago. Where have you been? Oh, that's right, watching television.
I wasn't lost until I tried reading the propaganda you've spewed forth, and it would've made more sense had you begun with, "Once upon a time . . ."
We're knee deep, alright. We're knee deep in multiple civil wars, when our original intention was to drain the swamp of Saddam and his nukes - if he had 'em.
We may be fighting some of those who were involved in the 9-11 attacks - now - but we weren't fighting AQ when we went into Iraq. AQ came to us, but it wasn't the reason we invaded Iraq anyway.

Look, what we are currently doing is what the Crusades and the Mongol invasion had to do when they slapped the Islamics back into place. Unfortunately, we don't have the non-PC backbone to do it right. The left would scream, but future generations would have peace.

I may be a bloody fool, but please consider me also as Napoleon's Corporal, and, on that level, tell me what our mission is in Iraq, as of 21 Feb 2007?
BTW, no need to feel sorry for me. I have no regrets about the war in Vietnam. Well I do have one regret, and that is I wish I could have voted enough times in 64 to have seen LBJ defeated. But, other than that, no regrets. We didn't lose the war. Our elected officials decided to leave the field. Once again, our Constitution worked.

Imus is in poor health, if that's what you mean, but he's my lifeline to sanity.

You've slammed Imus, which is par around here, but he's had a big hand in helping to build some of the private facilities that care for the war wounded. The facility near Brooks Army Medical Center being the latest example.

Thanks Chgogal for the acknowledgement. However until someone assumes payment of my monthly cable bill I don't give any consideration to what their feelings are of what I choose to watch on my own television set in my own home.
Are the opinions of the "remfs" less valid than anyone else's?
