With the bare fact being that no Republican in recent memory has been able to win a major contest without at least the tacit backing of the religious right, Rudy Guliani might be trying to buck that trend.

I am an Evangelical, pro-life, Christian conservative and I am unashamedly supporting Rudy.
If you are than you are responsible to study and learn the word on your own. There is plenty in the Word that tells us to how to choose men to rule over us. And it doesn't take a college diploma to see clearly that those things that Rudy promotes are evil.
If you are Get me the Scripture that tells us how to vote and we'll start from there.
He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God.2Sa 23:3
Pro 14:34 Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.
When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn. Proverbs 29:2
Neh 7:2, and Deuteronomy 17:14-20
These are a few that come to mind, but unless you want to hear.
Mat 13:13 .... they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
because they received not the love of the truth,....And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
Yes I believe it is sin for you to join yourself to evil, especially the evil of sacrificing babies to Satan. And that is just one of the things. The 2nd amendment infringement might take a little more wisdom, but its pretty fundamental to freedom
I look at the issues that are most crucial to our survival as a nation,
You mean Rudy is the only man that can save America?
By promoting Rudy so early in the primary makes me think you have probably just jumped on the bandwagon because some of those you admire most on FR have done so. You have every right to support who you will for whatever reason. God was the author of this freedom we have.
Its is not that I dislike Rudy. I just believe he promotes the worst evil our world has ever seen. And I know that the Almighty Gods judgement will not rest for ever. I want to be in the right bundle.
You trust Rudy, I will trust God.
To: Delphinium
You trust Rudy, I will trust God. I was willing to talk with you until I read that last sanctimonious line of yours. You have no right, no authority to judge me.
You know nothing about me. And you obviously don't read (or at least understand) what I write because you're unwilling to learn.
I know what I'm responsible for. I know what I DO. And I know why I've made my decisions.
To: PhiKapMom
I don't care who you support as long as you vote. We have never said everyone has to support Rudy. What we have complained about is getting trashed and called names because we do support Rudy who is a Republican. I have a feeling that would happen less if you quit trashing other GOP candidates without providing links to substantiate your allegations against them. Or at least start offering a mea culpa when the scurrilious allegation you are helping to spread turns out to be unsubstantiated.

You have no right, no authority to judge me. Is that you, Natalie Means?
We have every right to judge people. Saying otherwise is normally the realm of liberals who hate having rational and critical judgements applied against their utterances, and for good reason.

1. It's Natalie "Maines."
2. I wasn't talking to you.
3. If you're going to be another who tells me I'm not a Christian because I'm supporting Rudy, then I will tell you also that you have no right, no authority to judge me.
4. I wasn't talking to you.
To: PhiKapMom
Everyone must think alike or else seems to the mentality here right now!No.
Everyone is expected to substantiate their allegations against other candidates, which you have refused on at least two occasions to do.
And with one of those occasions, the allegations you were helping to spread were totally bogus.
Now, I can see why some political operatives would find such a standard restricting. But for the rest of us on FR, that is what we do best - shoot down unsubstantiated bullcrap.
If you want to quit being a target, quit putting up such. Or at least cut the sanctimonious crap that you are somehow falsely prosecuted for doing such.

Read the Word for yourself, like I said you have put your trust for a free America in Rudy, I will trust God and vote accordingly.
Have fun with the "mean girls club"

1. It's Natalie "Maines." Glad you are up on the details of the Dixie Chicks. I'd rather forget them.
2. I wasn't talking to you.
Don't post comments in the open form if you aren't willing to get retorts.
3. If you're going to be another who tells me I'm not a Christian because I'm supporting Rudy, then I will tell you also that you have no right, no authority to judge me.
Please tell me where I said such. I didn't. So now you are pulling the stock propaganda trick of putting words in my mouth. Which is typically done from a position of factual weakness.
4. I wasn't talking to you.

Uh, so just why is it a big deal that Rudy isn't falling all over himself to go to the Religious Broadcasters convention? He isn't a religious broadcaster.
Seems like someone making a lot of noise over nothing.

like I said you have put your trust for a free America in Rudy And you said that from ignorance.
Yes, of the current crop, I believe Rudy is the best choice to lead this nation.
You will find NOWHERE where I have said he is the "only" hope or that I have said I "put my trust in him for a free America."
If you can't understand the distinction, then it is you, not I, that needs to study further.

Duncan Hunter has some pretty ardent supporters on FR. Don't confuse them with the facts. It makes them break out in hives.

I still won't vote for him, however.

Glad you are up on the details of the Dixie Chicks. I'm just up to speed on spelling. Know your enemy and all that. That way you don't afford them the opportunity to say "See we told you those conservatives were stupid."
Don't post comments in the open form if you aren't willing to get retorts.
Reply at your leisure.
Please tell me where I said such. I didn't.
No, you didn't. But you jumped into the middle of a conversation where someone was saying that.
Thus the reason I said "I wasn't talking to you." I'm not afraid of any conversation. But if you miss the context, I'll be sure to point that out.
I'm afraid in this case, you did.

Funny, conservatives have been hearing that from Rudy boosters even when they have the facts completely straight about Rudy's liberal past.

I'm glad I have your permission, given that Rudy supports CFR and your guy could take away my free speech rights if he is elected president - it's in his nature, apparently.
No, you didn't. But you jumped into the middle of a conversation where someone was saying that.
Well, debates are best when I am not held to task for something I did not say. And when your guy is held to task for something he DID say, or DID do as mayor.
I'm afraid in this case, you did.
The context I see is Rudy boosters wanting to spew non-conservative nonsense into FR free of challenge. Sorry if that ain't happening for you.
