The 17 Republicans who voted against our soldiers and against victory in Iraq:

The other 229 (and 17 Republicans) stood with the terrorists.
We all have to do more. The Left is working behind the scenes to destroy the republic from within.
That is so funny. That's exactly what happens. "We appreciate your concern but go stand on a rock."
Well we must get rid of him in the primary...
I have contacted my Congress Critters (for what that's worth: Brownback, Roberts, Boyda; 1 out of 3). Everyone else needs to contact theirs. The Congress dudes ignore anything coming from outside their constituencies.
Last night a libertarian asked Gingrich whether he would be willing to back getting rid of all the drug laws, in exchange for dropping his support of charter schools. (For answer, turn page upside down.)
You didn't ping me.
Bumpity bump!
'..unless you live in the district..'
I, too, tried to email but need a zip code...i tried to use zip code of one of their office. Then in text gave my correct state and explained as a member of the Congress of the United States their action affected me as a citizen of the Us...regardless of where I live. But, email would still not go through for some reason.
I've been calling but the Office staffers are pathetic. Most are apathetic; some are simply uninformed; others are rude. But, I give my 2 cents anyway....
Why are most Americans asleep????? Why aren't they seeing the danger???
I'm just wondering about possible scenarios going forward here if the additional troops are not deployed, with the (possibly wrong) starting assumption that things cannot continue as is in Iraq:
1. Less soldiers => use more firepower. Since they cannot count on the extra numbers to verify and police each threat, they will have to use more airpower and tanks, which will lead to more casualties.
2. Hand over more power to the seemingly timid Iraqi forces, with a negative consequence that both the coalition and the Iraqi government suffer heavier losses because they cannot do the job that 20,000 Americans should have done.
3. The Dem option...decide that it is hopeless, that the coalition is being defeated by the ragtag terrorists, and that less troops means less targets for the honorable enemy. Withdraw now, because if you can motivate that more troops are not needed, then you can surely justify why less are needed, all the way down to zero.
Please feel free to add, I'm pretty sure there must be more options than my attempts here.
Where's Lieberman's vote with the Prez.
Guess this is a man with a paper asshole.
Guess LIERMAN was a good name for during the election.
Hi Nancy. I called the Fla Rep(and 3 other Reps). Told them esentially the same you did......we will not forget that they stood with the Democrats and against the President and gave encourgement to our enemies. I asked what their plan was if they're so against the Pres strategy....They are a true disgrace.
I plan to call more tomorrow. I'll also begin calling the Senators. This is making me crazy.
Newt Gingrinch just outlined, for the dimwitted Alan Colmes, why today's action was so bad for us.
Dems who voted no are listed above. I'll call them to say thanks for putting our country and our troops before their own agendas.
They will also be fighting them here, Dakota.
Since last year, I've told RNC via returning their letters for money and when they've called for money, I will give no more money until they get the Republican Senators and House members to stand with the President and do what's right for the country vs following the 'poll of the day'.
I keep getting letters and surveys and I send them back with my comments and no money. Sure they're probably dumped in circular file but, I have to keep trying.
If only the true majority.... Americans who love this country....would speak out. But, they don't. I belong to 4 Republican Clubs. I continually urge people to call or email Congress.......I can probably count those that do so on one hand. I pray they will wake up before it's truly too late.
Taylor is a well-known DINO who voted to impeach Bill Clinton.
Lieberman's in the Senate, which is scheduled to vote tomorrow (I think), not the House. It is quite likely he'll vote against the resolution and with the President.
TOLL FREE NUMBER FOR U.S. CAPITOL: 1-866-220-0044.
We need to flood their offices with calls (of course, they'll probably then end the toll free # ...lol.)
This gets you to Capitol switchboard. Ask to be connected to the Congressperson or Senator you wish. I encountered one who began to give me baloney about calling MY Congressman. I reminded the staffer, the vote made by her boss affects ALL citizens of the United States.
'..that night amounted to ...vote of no confidence in the President.'
IMHO, the reason the GOP lost the midterms was because they failed to stand united and strong. They waffled and caved in to liberal media and Dim manipulation. Rather than doing what was right for the country, the R's tried to be politically correct. I don't think the Iraq war was the over riding reason. Had they stood with the Pres who is trying to protect the country, they would probably have won. They were weaklings and many still are.....Mr. Warner, Mr. Specter, Mr.Hagel....and what's up with Coleman??
I thought Ron Paul was a livertarian who just votes (usually) with the pubbies.
