Soon enough, however, a police officer walked in to check on the smoke. The officer told Tancredo that the officer came because he was required to do so and not because the officer wanted to. The officer had already told Ellison that Tancredo was permitted to smoke in his office. The visit was more a formality. If it's not illegal to smoke in your office, then why did he feel obliged to make a visit at all?
This really is bizarre.

This shows how well Tancredo can govern...Arnold showed him how to smoke (if you're Governor).
When little-boy Tancredo can get elected Governor...then he can have his smoking tent.
Until then...he just shows how lacking he is in concensus skills.

The issue at hand is petty, of course, and I would never side with Ellison but.. That is what they all say (noisy neighbor, eg), it's almost always BS. Got a gripe with a human? Call a cop.
